Presidential Election From Time To Time

Introduction
Knowing and learning about the Presidential Election is important
because we, as Indonesian people should know and learn about the history of
our own country. It is important to discuss about historical election after
Independence day. It is important to discuss about historical election after
Independence day because, we could know why Indonesia has President
leading the country. We could know how in the past people chose a president
and how they do it nowadays.We need to know about it because we are apart
of the country (Indonesia) and if we know about it we dont misjudge it and
when we know more about the history of our country the more we love our
country and appreciate it. Other reasons are for learning about Indonesian
election is for intrinsic and knowing how it feels or looks long time ago/how
Indonesian election is done.

Background History
Election is a formal and organised process of electing or being elected,
especially the members of a political body. The Indonesian Election System
uses proportional and district system but, Indonesia uses proportional system
more. In Proportional system, the percentage of seats in the representative
body of the people is distributed to each political party in accordance with the
percentage of votes obtained by each political party. This system is the oldest
electoral system and is based on the geographical unity. Each geographical
entity named as the district won a seat in parliament. The Country is divided
into regions / districts of the same number of inhabitants. There are 3 types of
election in Indonesia that is Legislative Election (DPR, DPD, DPRD and
MPR), Presidential Election, and Election for regional heads.

The first election in Indonesian history is held in 1955. At that time,

Indonesia is only 10 years old. Also, the first Indonesian election was held in
two days. One in 29 September 1955 which is the election for DPR and 5
December 1955. The first president of Indonesia is Soekarno. The next
president is Suharto (Golkar won the first election of Indonesia so the
president is Suharto). Then it is Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, Abdurrahman
Wahid, Megawati Sukarnoputri, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and our
president now is Joko Widodo.

Analysis
What I think about the Indonesian election history is that the
Indonesian people was not cheating in the voting process. Then the people
were starting to be wanting their chosen political leader to be their leader, so
there was more fight as we go on these days.I think electing a president is
very important. Without guidance, we wont be successful. Elections is
important to every country but, sometimes it goes the wrong way. Nowadays
people have fights because of it. I think Election can have good effects but
also bad ones to. I think the best political election of Indonesia is the election
when Joko Widodo is the president because as I could see that he is making
a big difference to Indonesia by making everything more neat and etc. We
think that the election in 2014 when Joko Widodo is the best election because
the election is different from the other election. Even if the election didnt go
smoothly because some people cheated to get their choice president to win
but, in the end everything turns out well. That is why we pick 2014 election as
our favorite.

Conclusion
So, as you notice, the Indonesian Election is very important. It play a
really big role in the Indonesian politics. The creator of the Indonesian politics
is also important. So lets recap. The Indonesian election is separated into
different types. They are DPR, DPD, DPRD and MPR. They are also
separated into different types of regions. The ones that has the most voices
will be the winner or president. If there is no Indonesian election, there will be
fight everywhere. The reason I said this is that when there is no Indonesian
election, there will be fight everywhere is that the people wants a certain
leader to be their leader. The other people want other leaders. Then, if that
happens, there will be fighting. So once again, Indonesian Election is very
important.
