Business Career Research Paper

The business career that interests me the most is becoming an aquatic biologist. This
career interests me because I am currently taking a marine biology class where we learn about
the ocean and marine organisms. I believe that I would enjoy this career because I like learning
about organisms that live in water.
To become an aquatic biologist you need at least a bachelors degree in aquatic biology or
a related field. Some required courses are general biology, ecology, evolution, and genetics.
Additional requirements often include lab or field projects and internships. Hands-on experience
is important when entering the field of aquatic biology, students might volunteer or intern during
any free time they have in their studies. Some programs allow internships to count as credit for
your degree.
A school that offers this major is the University of California, Santa Barbara. I have
visited this school before and it is one of the only universities in the country that offers an
undergraduate major in aquatic biology. The campus is in a perfect location for the study of fresh
and salt water environments and organisms. This major includes coursework, laboratory, and
fieldwork in marine and freshwater.

In conclusion, I am interested in becoming an aquatic biologist because I enjoy learning
about the ocean and marine organisms. To be successful in this career I need a bachelors degree
in aquatic biology and I also need hands-on experience. This would be a good career for me
because I enjoy science and I also enjoy learning about marine and freshwater ecology.
