For years Wisconsin and in particular Madison have had a strong and growing apprenticeship program for construction. We have been a national leader in support of apprenticeship training, We have a long history of ensuring that the apprenticeship is not just a viable option for adults entering the workforce but it is actually highly sought after thanks to its high standard of living and job opportunities. We have also been leading in innovation in creating new apprenticeship opportunities including a state wide apprenticeship program for Voice, Data and Video, to ensure the Building Trades is fully capable of supporting new advances in telecommunications and the Internet. ‘This ensures that in Madison we have the trained workforce available for Google Fiber. Madison also enjoys a vibrant University System that has caused the community to want and need continual growth in Internet capability. We have a great research business community that we see constant construction growth in. This means of course more employees in the local area who need that same internet access and capability at their homes.
