Students have been looking into point-of-view and characterisation in narrative writing this week in class. They have begun to develop 'character charts' for the book Running Wild. To continue this exploration the students have been tasked with the following over the weekend: they need to choose 1 character other than Will from the book and create a 300 word piece of writing. They need to keep in mind the personality traits of the character, and what they would and wouldn't know at this stage of the novel.

writing this week in class and the students have begun to develop character charts for the book Running Wild. To continue this exploration the students have been tasked with the following over the weekend: They need to choose 1 character other than Will from the book and create a 300 word piece of writing that tells the story of the novel so far from their perspective, e.g. Oona the Elephant, Wills mum etc. They need to keep in mind the personality traits of the character, and what they would and wouldnt know at this stage of the story.
