Three-Year Goal 1: By the end of 2nd and 5th
grade, 70% of our students will achieve advanced
development in reading on the DRA/EDL (2nd
grade) and DRA (5th grade.)
Three-Year Goal 2: By the end of 5th grade, 70%
of our students with 5 or more years in the U.S.
will meet LEP exit criteria.
Three-Year Goal 3: By the end of 4th and 5th
grade, 70% our students will meet passing criteria
on the Writing STAAR test (4th) and TELPAS
Advanced High in Writing (5th).

Toddlers and Tales.

Toddlers and parents are invited to come to the
library to hear fun and engaging stories read
aloud and participate in theme related activities.
Parents are encouraged to assist their children in
making crafts. This program is an exciting
opportunity to explore literacy strategies that help
children discover the wonders of reading !

Learning Together
Program
Learning is first and foremost a social and
emotional experience. Learning together uses the
power of peer relationships to motivate students,
teacher leadership and provide direct instruction
to help struggling tutees and tutors. This is a part
of our After School Program at Shadow Oaks.
