SANDWICH PROGRAM ACTIVITY

Week 1:
Activity: (i) Introducing the sandwich program, facilities, and access
provided by the University during the program.
(ii)Arrangement of bank account, health insurance, public
transportation ticket, and other public services needed.
Week 2 to Week 8:
Activity: Discuss with the professor/senior researcher in regards to:
(i) The time schedules during the program
(ii) Research methodology (Data collection techniques, sampling
techniques, data research analysis)
(iii) Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, & Threats (SWOT) of the
development Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Week 4 and Week 8
Activity: Discuss with other relevant researchers in the area of competitive
strategy for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In this moment,
fellow also will try to find out the research area that can be
collaborated in the future.
Week 3 to Week 9
Activity: Searching relevant scientific journals for the completion of
dissertation and article draft.

Week 3 to Week 10
Activity: Improve academic reading and writing skills
Week 4 to Week 9
Activity: Visiting class in relevant subject, such as: strategic management,
business plan, and small business management.
Week 5 to Week 6
Activity: Visiting wood furniture industries to study the usage of up dated
technology and the implemented global competitive strategy.
Week 5 to Week 10
Activity: Join workshops and/or seminars in the area of industrial
competitive force, competitive strategy, and small business
management.
Week 5 to Week 10
Activity: Reviewing, proofreading, and editing article draft
Week 13 to Week 14
Activity: Final checking of the article draft by supervisor before submitting
the article to a scientific journal
Week 14
Activity: Submitting the article to a reputable international journal
Week 15 to Week 16
Activity: The final report will be written in both English and Indonesian.
In the last week of the meeting, fellow will also ask the
arrangement of the returning to Indonesia with the international
affair staff.
