LTE Exceptions, LTE
cell/UE traces

Presentation of PM
reports

Node Data
Mirroring of all node Managed Objects and Attributes

ITK-internal attributes

Dynamic mapping between related MOs

Schema is customisable

PM Data
Raw counter data imported every 15 minutes
- CPP-based nodes (or other 3GPP 32.401 compliant nodes)
- AXE STS (IOG and APG)
- Coming Soon: SGSN, MME, GGSN, SASN
- Custom parsers possible

Data aggregation
Complex Queries
- Wide range of formulas and data transformations possible
- User can supply formulas and/or custom transforms

Event Data
Stores event related data in the database

Standard event types:

Restart Program / PIU / Node

UEH Exceptions

SW Install

GPEH events

SW Upgrade

UETR/CTR

Alarms

LTE Exceptions

Web Interface - Menus and Views

Main menu separates views into groups
Additional main menu items can be added

View hierarchy can be customised

ITK view = method to fetch and present network information
- User input
- Database fetch
- Layout of resultant charts and/or tables

Web Interface Filters

Time filter: define time period
- Selected Interval, eg Starting 2010-03-30 and ending at 2010-05-14
- Preceding Period, eg Last 6 Hours
- Start + Duration, eg, Starting 2010-08-16 14:00 for 40 Hours
- End + Duration, eg For 3 Weeks ending at 2010-10-03

Web Interface Filters

Object filter: define extent of objects
- Object, operator, value
- Mode button allows multiple values to be selected easily
- Construct icon to edit filters in text format
- Disk icon allows filters to be loaded/saved
- Recently used filters displayed in history drop-down
- Add Attribute Filter to filter on MO attribute values

Views

Views

Standard Views
Standard views delivered within ITK package

Many view requirements available by default

Dynaviews

- More flexible
- eg: PM dynaview

Standard Views PM Data

Database queries at ROP / object level can be slow

Aggregate data speeds this up

Default: node, day/object, day/node

Also: busy hour, max/min values, hourly
Other custom aggregates possible
Much faster queries at coarse resolution
Automatic selection of data source

Standard Views PM Data

RAB performance

Counter to be displayed

PM Formula Handling
System formulas

Local formulas

Customised User formulas

- Supplied with ITK package

- Defined for an ITK installation

- Accessible by all users

- Stored in users formula file

Formula definitions visible via User Menu, and Edit My Formulas

Standard Views Node Data

Get information on configuration of Cells, RBSs, RNCs
Get information on resource states

Standard Views Node Data

View information about active features

View collected UETR and CTR recordings

Standard Views Node Data

Standard Views Event Data

Identify sites with HW problems

Site identified on the basis of repeated

restarts and presented together with restart
and alarm history.

Standard Views Event Data

- Success Rate

Upgrade SW Deployment analysis

- Upgrade Durations
- Time taken to complete roll out

Upgrade failure tracking

- Paths with high failure rate
- Upgrade Steps causing failures

Standard Views Event Data

Track System
Down Time
caused by restarts

Detailed timing information about all types of restarts

- Cello Downtime (Platform Downtime)
- Application Downtime
Easily highlight restart types causing high SDT
Feed back product deficiencies to design

View Authoring
Views are defined as XML
Define/edit views via web interface
Standard views can be used as templates
Views transferable to other ITK servers
Very powerful, with complex handling possible if necessary

http://utran01.au.ao.ericsson.se/itkwiki/ViewWritersGuide

Anatomy of a View
1) <viewparams> element
defines parameters

2) <dataset> elements to
define requests to be made
to the server

ITK
3) <viewlayout> element contains children to
place charts and tables in output
