SECTION C11

Please note:

All of the requirements above must be completed and submitted at the designated time, unless prior arrangements have been made with, and approved by, the instructor.

1.

Make-Up Policy: One make-up exam may be taken for a missed exam. All make-up exams will be given during the last week of the regular semester. No make-ups will be given for weekly quizzes.

2.

Attendance for Final Exam: The final exam will be held at the end of the semester in accordance with the official schedule. Students who do not report for the final exam and do not contact the instructor within 24 hours will be given a failing grade for the exam. Before a student is permitted to make up a final examination, he/she must obtain permission from the Dean of Instruction.

3.

Posting Grades: Grades will be made available in Blackboard. Final grades are submitted to Records and Registration; they generally become available from Simon shortly after the end of the semester. If special circumstances exist wherein a student needs the final grade to be sent to another institution directly by the instructor, this should be individually arranged.

4.

Writing: All work should be submitted using “edited standard written English.” Quality of written work will be considered in the grade along with content.

5.

A final grade of 70% or better is required to receive a passing grade for this class. Final scores between 60% and 69% will receive a letter grade of D, and will not be counted as a passed course for your Medical Coding Certificate or HIIT program requirements.

6.

All email contacts between students and instructor should occur within Blackboard.

7.

All assignments must have the students name and submission date in order to be reviewed and graded. Assignments are due on the due date. Late homework will receive a 5 point deduction for each day after the due date. The assignment will not be accepted one week after the due date.
