927 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia use 1300s in
Egypt and even 927 for fi rst masonry. 1390 and 1425, has
a brief history in its introduction, stating that the "craft of
masonry" began with Euclid in Egypt, and came to England in
the reign of King Athelstan.
1118 - Scottish Rite Freemasonry claims that a number of
these Eastern mystics, known as Johannite Christians, were
brought to Scotland by the Templars. In 1118, nineteen years
after the conquest of Jerusalem by the Crusader forces.
1390 - THE REGIUS POEM HALLIWELL MANUSCRIPT IS The
oldest Masonic document in the British Museum.
1688 -The first (probably unrecorded) Masonic lodge in France
was founded in 1688 by the Royal Irish Regiment, which
followed James II of England into exile, under the name
"La Parfaite galit" of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Some
brethren were accused of starting the French Revolution.

1728 - A grandmaster in France is already attested in 1728, it

took ten more years for a true assembly of representatives
from all the "English" and "Scottish" lodges to form the first
Grande Loge de France. 1728, the Freemasons decided to
recognize Philip Wharton, 1st Duke of Wharton (16981731)
as "grand-master of the Freemasons in France on 24 June
1738 and set up Louis de Pardaillan de Gondrin (17071743),
2nd Duke of Antin, as "general and perpetual Grand Master in
the kingdom of France
1753 First Schism in masonry between Ancients and Moderns
and many lodges split. Early 1800 it was resolved between
them.
1786 supposedly written by Frederick the Great of Prussia in
1786. The Constitution provided for one Supreme Council in

each country, except that the United States of America could

have up to two.
1789 French Revolution.
1799 Recorded French Grand Lodge created.
1801, May 31,- the first Supreme Council of the Thirty-third
Degree, the Mother Council of the World, declared its
existence. started in Charleston SC.
1813 - On August 5th Daniel D. Tompkins is chosen as the
first Sovereign Grand Commander of the Northern Masonic
Jurisdiction.
1862 - Baron Debulow saw North America at war against itself
and not exemplifying the principles of the Scottish Rite.
Nov. 30, 1864 - with the silent acquiescence of the Hayes
Supreme Council of North America (the United Supreme
Council for the Western Hemisphere) to which he was
fraternally bound, Baron De'Bulow established the Supreme
Council of the United States with himself as Most Puissant
and remained its head 6 years.

A great many Scottish rite Masons usually accept

a starting t i m e i n 1 7 1 7 a t t h e A p p l e Tr e e
Ta v e r n L o n d o n E n g l a n d w i t h a few lodges
getting together forming what was soon a
Mother Supreme Council of Scottish Rite for that
country. Their Mother Lodge was in France
before 1700 initiating t h e S c o t t i s h . T h e o r d e r
w a s a n d s t i l l i s b a s e d o n t h e principles of the

million or more members. So respected
still that as few as 40 to 50 years ago
t h e r e h a v e been groups starting their own
masonry and at this time there are nearly 200
supposedly supreme national bodies of masons
in the US. There Is a Mother Grand Council in
England that n o w d i r e c t s a l l S c o t t i s h
Rite Masonry there. Only one Supreme
Council could be organized in each
c o u n t r y , b u t authority for two and three for
the U.S, was approved. Each was g i v e n t h e

authority
to
govern
themselves.

A&ASR Masonry was organized in 1 8 6 4 . We
were a third U S Supreme Council and the
S J a n d N J group was also their own Supreme
council. S o m a n y c a m e a b o u t i n t h e U . S .

s o u t h c i v i l u n r e s t , m i s t r e a t i n g o f blacks,
and segregation practices during slavery years mid
1800s. We were approved a n d a u t h o r i z e d b y t h e
s a m e Fr e n c h t h a t g a v e E n g l a n d t h e r i t e .
Baron Aguste Hugo Debulo was sent out
and made it so and remained active
a f t e r w a r d s i n Fr a n c e . W e a r e t h e r e f o r e
a l e g a l r e g u l a r m a d e s u p r e m e b o d y. If
there was one recognized mother by e v e r y o n e i n
the U.S, it would have direct control over
a l l Supreme councils but all participants
w o u l d h a v e t o a g r e e : w h i c h h a s n o t t a ke n
place.

We c o n t i n u e t o r e s p e c t a n d p r a c t i c e t h e s e
g e n e r a l rules of ancient masonry of England and
France with its ancient landmarks even-though
there is no longer an international Mother Grand
Headquarters.
Historically in our masonry there is affordable costs
to stay a member and degree work carries over to
give you leadership skills outside. Each degree is
another good character trait you are made aware
of and work to perfect. There is also a place for your
whole family in masonry. In addition, you get to
associate with one big family or you can stay to

yourself, not attending many meetings or events if

you
choose.
Attending
the
public
dances,
conventions and dinners is, not always mandatory
and no security is necessary in most locations.
