What is Sex Trafficking.?

From the non-profit organization, Polaris Project, which was founded in
2002 it gives the definition of Sex trafficking as, A form of modern

What makes someone

Vulnerable to be trafficked

Age is the primary factor of being targeted. Studies have shown adolescent girls are more
likely to fall for advances, deception, and manipulation tactics used by traffickers. No one is
exempt from falling for these tactics. Trafficker choose places such as social media, schools,
malls, parks, bus stops, shelters and group homes that are typically where unsupervised
teens are. Teens with a history of being a runaway or homeless are at a higher risk of falling
victim.

Since the girls accepted the

better life, they are then
expected to return something
and in this situation it is sex
with other men, which then
leads the traffickers to make

The girls are used practically as
objects with nothing good
coming out of it. Men are
overpowering them with their
