Musical
You like rhythm and sound of language. You like poems, songs,
jingles, humming and singing along with music. You
probably remember things well when they are associated
with music or rhythm. Try to incorporate sounds into your
lessons, such as using a familiar tune, song, or rap beat to
teach spelling rules, or to remember words in a series for a
test.
This describes me pretty well- I often sing or hum along to
music on my phone or the radio, and music does help me
calm down or have fun. Oddly enough, Ive never tried using
music to help study for a test or memorize words, though
rhythm has often helped me with lines for a play/lyrics or
remembering a paragraph.

Linguistic
You enjoy saying, hearing and seeing words. You like telling
stories. You are motivated by books, records, dramas,
opportunities for writing. Effective techniques of enhancing
your learning using your language include reading aloud,
especially plays and poetry. Another idea is to write down
reflections on what youve read. You may also enjoy
exploring and developing your love of words, i.e., meaning
of words, origin of words and idioms, names. Use different
kinds of dictionaries.
I do enjoy saying, hearing and seeing words. I talk a lot, and
when Im not talking, I think a lot. I love writing, reading and
watching movies/TV shows, and writing information down
does help me study for quizzes or tests.

Self
You have a very good sense of self. You like to spend time by
yourself and think things over. You will often take in
information from another person, mull it over by yourself,
and come back to that person later to discuss it. You like
working on projects on your own. You often prefer to learn
by trial and error. Effective techniques to enhance your
learning include keeping a journal and giving yourself time
to reflect on new ideas and information.
This describes me pretty well; I dislike doing group projects. I
often ask the teacher if I can work on my own, and I love
spending time by myself. The only thing different here is
that I dont often learn by trial and error.

Naturalist
I love animals and plants- learning about them is quite
interesting to me, although working with them
wouldnt be my first choice for future careers.

Kinesthetic
I do enjoy playing a few sports, Im not an athlete. I
like dancing and playing softball yearly, and I used
to play badminton with my dad.

Interpersonal
I do enjoy spending time with my friends, but
mostly I like doing things on my own. Often
times, when Im around others, my energy
seems to get sapped away and I get tired
more easily.

Spatial

Logic/Math
Math is one of my weaker subjects- last year, I
started off with low marks and slowly made
my way up with the guidance of my teacher. I
do use logic, though, in my daily life.

My Learning Style- Visual

My results came out as visual- I learn by seeing
and looking. This is accurately describes me. If
a teacher is talking but not writing anything
on the board, I do not learn as well as if
he/she did.

My True Colour- Gold

The traits and descriptions under gold were
mostly accurate. It describes me as loyal,
dependable, prepared, sensible, stable,
caring, and more. Im honestly quite surprised
at the results- the more I go over them, the
more I realize how much I actually am like
how they guessed.

Piano
I love playing piano. Its been my life as long as
I can remember- I started when I was four
years old. As I passed sixth grade, I started to
learn more modern songs and tunes I actually
enjoyed and looked forwards to practice,
rather than the classical pieces I study. Piano
has become something to calm me down,
have fun with and take seriously in my life.
Although I dont see myself as a musician
later on in my career, I want piano to stick
with me forever.

Singing
Ive always loved to sing, but I realized how
much I actually did the second I joined
Carisbrookes choir in grade four. I got to
perform with dozens of kids and Nikki
Yanolfski in the 2010 Paralympics opening
ceremony, and since then, Ive been in choir.
Ive also gotten some opportunities to perform
solo/duet at school concerts, talent shows and
City Fest, and this year I am joining vocal jazz
to broaden my singing experience. Ive never
gotten vocal lessons, though- although Ive
always wanted to, I havent had the time or
money for it.

Acting/Filming
When I was little, Ive always recorded little
skits with my younger sister and friends. Ive
never thought much about it, but in grade
nine, I realized I actually loved it. I started
taking drama in school and made home
videos. Several of my school highlights
include acting/filming- filming a Crusade video
in grade eight, filming an American Revolution
video in grade nine, and being told by my
drama teacher that I was talented for my
Gollum/Smeagol monologue in grade nine.
Acting and filming is a huge hobby for me,
and I would love to pursue it if I could.

Writing
Since Elementary School, Language Arts/English has
been one of my favourite subjects- if not my
favourite. Ive always gotten above average
grades, and Ive started writing in my spare time,
too. In grade seven-nine I wrote seventy pages to a
story I never finished, wrote a thirty chapter
fanfiction* last year, and now, Im working on
another fanfiction.
*fanfiction is a story based on someone elses story,
often times changing minor plot and/or adding own
characters.

Movies
I am a huge movie buff. More specifically, Lord
of the Rings and The Hobbit. Since I was
around twelve, Middle Earth captivated me
and turned me into an obsessed fan. I love the
characters, actors, plot, world Everything. I
cant explain how much I love these movies,
books, J.R.R. Tolkien, Peter Jackson and the
actors. My life has changed since I started
reading and watching these movies and
books.

TV Shows
I have a whole collection of TV shows I love
From the mysterious island of Lost (ABC) to
intelligent Sherlock Holmes (BBC), actionpacked Supernatural (CW) and time-traveling
Dr. Who (BBC), these shows have inspired me
and entertained me for hours on end.

Reading
Reading is like picking up an object and being
transported to another galaxy, but unlike
movies and TV shows, I can use my
imagination. Both my sister and I have been
obsessing over books since we were very
little, sometimes even getting in trouble for
reading when we werent supposed to. In
elementary school, we were both ahead of our
grade in literature and are still speedy
readers. We often catch hidden meanings and
understand complex plot even though we
could finish a hundred paged book in less than
three days.

Travel Around the World

I have many people I want to meet and
converse with- only problem? They live miles
and miles away from me. One of my goals is
to travel to different countries, sightsee, and
meet my friends.

Complete an Original Story

Apart from short stories at school, Ive only
written one novel in my life. I didnt even
finish it, but its a good seventy pages long. I
stopped because I didnt like the plot
anymore, as I had the idea when I was eleven,
and I was thirteen when I stopped. I want to
write a complex, long novel that I can be
proud of.

Write an Original Song

I keep trying, and failing. Since music is such a
big part in my life, Ive always wanted to
create some of my own. I want it to be good,
and have some components a good song
should have. It doesnt have to be complex or
long- just good quality and it should send a
message.

Triple Threat Award

I love dancing, acting and singing And Ive
always wanted to be recognized for it. And
since Ive started high school, why not strive
for the award that touches all three subjects I
love? This would be something amazing to
achieve, and the second I read the award list,
this award stuck out the most.

Flight of the Bumblebee

One of the most famous pieces in piano
history I think. Whoever can play this is
amazing, in my opinion, and Ive always
wanted to learn it and play it as well as I can.
This would be a milestone in my piano careerI hope my four year old self would be proud.

Animal
Wolves is my favourite animals, personality
wise. Loyalty is very important to me, friend
and family-wise. This is the biggest trait of the
wolf, and the most important thing to me.
They are natural born leaders, and in group
projects, I often take the role of the leader.
