Employee training is essential if we want to have a high-productivity level within our


organization. New employees must be brought up to speed and old employees need
ongoing training to broaden their horizons and grow professionally.

 SELECTED ORGANIZATION:
“INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY”

 DEPARTMENT:
“ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT”

 PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION:
“STUDENTS DIS-SATISFACTION”

Being as a student of international Islamic university, I have found our


administration department very ineffective and lethargic. Employees working in
that department are unwilling to work and try to put their burden on others. As a
result students are very uncomfortable, and face great difficulties in order to
resolve even a small issue.

 MAIN REASONS FOR THIS PROBLEM:


• As they don’t know even vision and mission of this university, so they are
working towards an unknown goal.
• They have deficiency in problem solving and communication skills. As there
are students from many countries, they are even unable to make them
understand.
• They are frequently absent and late for work.
• Due to inadequate training they have little knowledge about their job.
• As the employees are not motivated so they will not exert enough effort to
do the job and are likely to goof around.

 STEPS TO BE TAKEN:
What would I do if I am a trainer?

Being as a trainer of the employees working in the admin department I


would:
• Make the organizational vision and mission clear to all the employees.
• Tell them how to improve their communication skills, and relations
with the students and other employees.
• Make the employees motivated, by celebrating their achievements.
• Make them realize that they are part of this organization, and give
value to each employee’s work. They must be aware of their job’s
importance, and its contribution towards organizational goals.
• Provide employees with the enough information about the job
responsibilities.
• They must be given freedom to choose own approach to solving
problems or reaching goals.
• Be open to subordinate’s suggestions and should discuss them with
interest.
• They must be given interesting job assignments.
• They must be praised for doing good job.
