The middle ages were in its own way a very interesting yet a different time period. This was a time period when diseases came into play and some
new inventions were created. So it had good things and bad things about it. It all began around the 5th century after the fall of the Roman Empire and
lasted until the 15th century. There werent really any type of big accomplishments during this period but it was one of the most interesting in my
opinion. Right after the fall of the Roman Empire the Normans and other ethnic groups took over Western Europe and England. And thats how the
medieval time period started. There werent any single powerful influence during this time since each region had its own empire or ruler. Also
during this time literature was written. Written literature that was about romance and other different themes. Poetry contained allegory the most used
literary device. Some of the literature and poetry was religious, fictional, secular and was also written in exaggerated language by people like monks
and other unknown persons. The medieval period was a time period where nothing was really achieved but many things happened at the same time.
