Will religion eventually become a thing of the past? As a young man brought
up in a Baptist church setting, Im beginning to ask myself what religion will look like
20 or 30 years from now. In just my short span of 18 years in the church, Ive
watched and learned how religion adapts to changes like government, laws, and
changes in society. There is no doubt that the strength of religion is becoming
weaker through science and technology, but could it also drive it into the ground?
Imagine the result of such a thing.
This topic deserves its share of research not only for what is happening to
religion in the present, but how the absence of a higher power could affect
various societies across the world. Also, you could research how technology systems
and better knowledge of our past are contributing to the decline of personal beliefs.
Surveys of different age groups could be a very instrumental method of research
when trying to figure out not if, but when religion will be from the yesteryear.

Is racism actually getting better in America, or only getting worse? This

question has many answers and provides a topic of deep discussion also. History
and politics have always sparked an interest inside me so I find it odd that we still
have a problem, or maybe a bigger one, with something that was legally fixed 50
years ago. By all accounts, one would think that there should be virtually no tension
now between blacks and whites, but it still seems to be a fiery conflict.
To be sure though, one would need to learn a great deal of history and even
turn on the evening news and form their own opinions on this subject. I would
definitely be interested in making a timeline which would take the reader through
the history of black and white interactions up until the present day. This could also
be a prominent cause for the tension seeing that no one wants to research the facts
and observations. The subject of race has been shot down as touchy.

Is gun control making violence better or worse? I am a strong supporter of

the second amendment which explains why I am interested in this subject. I also
cant comprehend violence and the insensibility of cold blood, which would mean I
can see both sides of the track in many cases. Regardless, it seems like every time
a school shooting happens or a democratic nominee gets elected, there is a
desperate call for the abolishment of guns from our citizens. Then you hear the

classic, guns dont kill people, people kill people, which is also true. Both reactions
are reasonable.
If I were to research this topic, I would pull statistics from databases showing
how the passing of gun control laws related to the number of violent acts in society
involving guns. This would show you the direct effect of gun control. You could also
browse pro-gun and anti-gun groups on the internet and read their own opinions on
the issue in order to get a better idea. Neither side is wrong, they just have different
reasons.

How long will it be before humans are forced to colonize outer space? Its
hard for me to imagine Earth with no human life and its landscape completely
trashed. However, at the rate humans are polluting and populating, it will eventually
be pursued. I love the Earth and all the trees, waters, and beautiful landscapes it
has to offer. Every human should have the chance to enjoy it.
I would research sustainability intensely if I wanted to answer my question.
No one knows exactly how long Earth will last but making the smallest
environmental footprint possible is a great way to prolong its life. Pollution and
population rates would also be fantastic ways to learn more about this question.
Fictional movies about life in outer space can even provide us with an idea about
what the future might hold.
