Guidelines for the 3 Dimensional collage: -Or How will I know that you
understand the task?
Success Criteria.
Portrait is traced accurately and reproduced clearly on card.
Collage techniques (cutting, arranging, layout, gluing etc.) are done neatly and
accurately.
Work is planned.
Black pen shows an understanding of light and dark aspects within a face.
Areas cut out within the face are appropriate and fit in with the design.
Confidence, creativity and originality are shown.

The 3-dimensional collage shows an imaginative, fun and creative idea that is very
personal. The design has a precise level of detail in the drawing and cutting out of
the cardboard that is accurate and clear. There is a very strong understanding of
shading and using different techniques e.g. Cross hatching to reflect the light and
dark areas. Black pen is used creatively and with confidence throughout the piece.
The collage does show a student with excellent technical skills (cutting, arranging,
layout, gluing etc.) throughout the piece. There is clear evidence you have an
excellent ability and a mature approach to your work.

skills (cutting, arranging, layout, gluing etc.). There is very little evidence that you
are making an improvement with your skill level.
