ACCOUNT TRANSFER / ACCOUNT PORTABILITY WITHIN THE BANK

(From one branch to other branch of our Bank in India)


APPLICABLE FOR DEPOSIT ACCOUNT ONLY

1. A simple written request along with the unused cheque leave/s from a
customer should be obtained by the home branch.
2. On processing through CBS system the account gets transferred to the
destination branch along with the balance available in the account. No
further inter-branch remittance for transfer of fund is required.
3. The account number remains unchanged pan India for any number of
transfers requested by the customer.
4. The KYC particulars in the CIF which are already authenticated by the
base branch and recorded in the account are also transferred to the
destination branch, automatically. Supporting documents are to be
subsequently sent by the home branch.
5. The necessary documents regarding customers new address and other
contact particulars are only to be obtained by the new base branch.
6. The process should be completed on the same day itself to enable the
customer to transact from the destination branch.
7. The home branch should ensure before transfer that the account is fully
KYC compliant and no other irregularity is noticed in the account.
