GRADING POLICY

Students grades are based on points earned for tasks completed in and out of class. The
points are all added together for the final quarter grade. Points are earned for class work,
homework, participation, projects/essays/presentations, and tests/quizzes. Midterm exams
(or projects) and final exams (or projects) count as a grade for the quarter as well as the
Exam grade on the report card.

Classwork: 10%
Participation: 10%
Homework: 15%

LATE WORK POLICY

Quizzes: 15%
Tests: 25%
Projects / Essays / Presentations:
25%

Each assignment has a due date and is expected to be presented to the teacher on
that particular date. If a student is absent, they will be given the number of days
absent to complete their assignments missed. Students are encouraged to be in
touch with their peers and me via email.
Homework not presented on the day it is due will result in a zero for that assignment
and will not be accepted late.
Projects that are late will have 10 points deducted for each school day it is late with a
MAXIMUM of 5 allowable late days. After the 5th school day, no late projects will be
accepted.
ABSENCE POLICY
Students must make up all missed assignments if/when absent from class. Those
students who are absent need to be in contact with other students from their class or
need to contact the school or teacher for their assignments.
