Year 2 Class Bulletin

Dear  Parents  /  Carers,  

Thank  you  to  those  of  you  who  came  to  parents  evening,  it  was  lovely  to  
chat  to  you  all.    
We   have   a   very   busy   term   ahead   with   lots   organised,   including   a   trip   to  
the   theatre,   an   animation   project   with   the   City   Learning   Centre   and   a   visit  
to  Southwark  Cathedral!

Topics this term Important Dates

Literacy –  1st – 5th March – Book Week

We will be learning about ‘Traditional Tales’, moving onto  3rd March – Trip to Polka
poetry later in the term.
Theatre
Mathematics –  12th March – Fisa’s Mothers
We will be covering the topics of word problems, time and data Day event
handling.  16th March – Visit to Southwark
Cathedral
Creative Curriculum –  18th March – Lambeth Music
Our theme is ‘Lighting up our world’, during which we will learn Festival
about electricity, the history of our local area and we will  19th March – Sport Relief
design a model house with battery powered light.  25th March – Year 2 Collective
Worship
R.E –
 31st March – Easter Service
The Easter Story
 1st April – Term Ends
PSHCE –
We will be focusing on ‘Good to be Me’.

Useful info

Outdoor PE will be on Friday afternoons.

Indoor PE will be on Thursday mornings.

Please note:
Children with no PE kit will not be allowed to participate during PE lessons.
