Welcome back! The MMCC Board and Staff are very excited about our new and exciting programs. We continue to expand our quality
program offerings. Our affordable programs are essential to help with meeting daily needs of our community. They include childcare,
after school, food stamps, senior centers, teen programming, college guidance, tutoring, job workforce programs, camps, baseball, etc.
Registration operates on a rolling basis once this brochure arrives in your mailbox. You may register in person Monday-Friday
8am-7pm or on Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-4pm. You can also register online at mmcc.org. Classes fill up quickly; dont delay! Tell
your friends, family and neighbors about MMCCs offerings.

Day Care Head Start Pre-K for All

Day Care

Head Start

Our teachers are warm and caring. Children are taught through
creative play and literature, and are encouraged to develop their
imagination and social skills. A healthy breakfast, lunch and
snack are provided. Parents provide diapers and wipes.
This is a 12 month program.

FREE (upon meeting federal qualification guidelines)

Our Day Care program serves children between the ages of


12 months and 41/2 years. The programs offer fully equipped
classrooms and outdoor play areas.

Head Start is a federally funded 6 hour program for 3 and 4


year olds during the school year. This gives lowincome families
the opportunity for early education growth, health services,
and parent involvement. In addition, the children are prepared
academically and socially for kindergarten. A healthy breakfast,
lunch and snack are provided. Head Start UPK wrap around for
4 year olds 8.5 hours (8:30am-5:00pm).

Extended hours are available from 7:30am8am
at $6 per 1/2 hour.

Pre-K for All is a free 6 hour and 20 minutes program open


to all for 4 year olds. Our program provides high quality
developmentally appropriate instruction for all children with an
important foundation that promotes the acquisition of skills in
the four learning domainssocial-emotional, physical, creative
expression/aesthetic and cognitive development that includes
language and literacy and mathematical and scientific thinking.
A healthy breakfast, lunch and snack are provided.
Half day UPK, 2 hours and 30 minutes

Toddlers (2435 months): $1,018


PreSchool (34 years old): $975
Plus annual membership, insurance and activity fees.

An enriched curriculum of classes and clubs at MMCC


including Ice Skating, Bowling, Computer, Soccer, Art Workshop, Nature Crafts, Drama, Music, Basketball, activity groups,
and Homework Help. All of these classes and clubs are included
in the tuition fee. Children receive a nutritious snack each day.

BN Fit Program, 1221 years

Bronx Nutrition and Fitness Initiative for Teens (BN Fit)


BN Fit is a comprehensive program that provides medical, psychosocial,
nutrition, and physical activity support in learning and implementing
healthy lifestyles.
The 12 month BN Fit Program includes: monthly medical assessments
at the CHAM, weekly nutrition/behavioral groups and physical activity
groups. Also offered are optional cooking classes, gardening, and youth
council. Once a month parent group and family nights are offered.

ESL Classes
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes (beginner,
intermediate and advance level) are available at no cost to
adults. Students are able to develop proficiency in grammar,
reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. Civics
classes, which prepare individuals for the U.S. citizenship
test, are also offered. Available at 3450 Dekalb Ave. Bronx,

Family Choice Program

GED/TASC New Options Program, 1824 years

The Family Choice Program educates parents and students on


middle school and high school choices in New York City. The
Family Choice/Early Awareness Program provides information
about smaller middle and theme-based high schools and charter
schools in the five boroughs. This program also supports families
as they navigate special education in NYC.

You are eligible to participate if you are not enrolled in school.


You must pass a reading and math test on a 5th or 6th grade level.
Enrollment is open. Required documents: social security card,
birth certificate, and proof of income.

ISY | In School Youth

College Bound Program I College Access Counseling

This free year-round program for seniors in high school includes:


basic math and literacy skills and general education tutoring,
and Regents prep and more. Our goal is to empower students
academically and provide opportunities to increase their college
readiness and work force exposure. We also provide college tours,
and guaranteed summer employment. Enrollment begins now
through September.

Parents, high school students, and adults get comprehensive help


to select colleges, complete applications and apply for financial aid.
College students wanting to transfer are welcome. Adults looking
to return to school can also receive services. We provide: Individual
counseling/joint studentparent counseling, group information
programs and college trips.

College Bound Program I SAT Preparation Classes


Low cost SATpreparation classes are designed for highschool
juniors and seniors who would like to prepare for the SATs.

Three week training course utilizing a state of the art facility
leading to New York State Food Handlers Certification. Job

The Moses Project


Ages 5 to 12

A fun Jewish multicultural and multiethnic educational program


that tailors varied programming to the unique needs of multiracial
families! This program is geared to teach children and their
families about the culture and observances of the Jewish people.
Children and families will enjoy art, dance, stories, Jewish
holiday celebrations, cooking, family trips and much more. All
multicultural children and their families are welcome, regardless
of level of observance!

The NDA Educational Support
for High School Youth offers
intervention and supportive
services for students that need
extra support with school such
as truancy intervention services,
hearing assistance social as well
as academic supportive services.
Services include SAT prep,
all subject tutoring, paid and
unpaid internship opportunities,
and an in depth multi-media
service learning project.

Mosholu Day Camp

Activities

Mosholu Day Camp is a fantastic traditional day camp where kids


have a chance to explore new activities while making new friends
in a safe and fun environment. Our campers have an opportunity
to grow in many ways and enjoy a summer filled with memories
that last a lifetime.

There is no end to the activities that Mosholu campers enjoy.


We offer instructional swim, free swim, boating, fishing, art,
drama, dance, fitness, gaga, Native American culture,
engineering, orienteering, challenge and adventure, music,
pottery, basketball, tennis, soccer, football, nature, science,
giant games, softball, boom ball, floor hockey, team handball,
and hiking!

Camp divisions: Norwood ( 5-7 yrs), Young Blazers: (8-9 yrs),


Blazers (10-11 yrs), Teen Adventures (12-16 yrs), Sunshine (512yrs) and Elan (12-16yrs) for Special Needs.

Next summers camp program will feature a newly designed trip
