max bill was one of the most unusual artists of our age. a true universal
genius, he worked as an architecht, painter, sculptor and product
designer, leaving behind an extensive body of work. this includes one
of the most fascinating timepiece series made, still produced in almost
unchanged form today: the wall clocks and wristwatches that he developed for junghans. as a bauhaus student of walter gropius, he
intuitively understood how to apply the pursuit of constructive clarity
and precise proportions to his work.

A. general information for all our max bill watches

important note: do not make any changes to the date between 8pm
and 2am, as the date is automatically advanced by the movement
during this period and you could damage the date advance mechanism.
to ensure that your watch functions correctly for many years, do not
expose it to extreme temperatures or violent shocks. your watch is not
water resistant, so you should keep it dry. servicing tasks or wrist strap
repairs should be done by your junghans specialist. your watch is fitted with a quality wrist strap that has undergone multiple inspections
in our factory. if, however, you decide to change the strap, please fit
a new one of the same quality, preferably an original junghans wrist
strap. watch and wrist strap can be cleaned with a dry or slightly moistened cloth. attention: do not use chemical cleaners (e. g. benzine or
paint thinners), these may harm the surface. we recommend that you
have your watch regularly inspected by your junghans specialist.

1.1. winding up your watch
with the winder in position a, you can wind up the mechanical movement manually. the watch will be fully wound after c. 30 turns of the
winder. fully winding your watch guarantees maximum precision and
reserves of power.
caution: do not forcibly overwind your watch, as this could damage
the movement.
1.2. setting the time
pull out carefully the crown 1 (pos. b). you can then move the minute
and hour hands. push the crown 1 back in so that it clicks into its normal position (pos. a).

2.1. winding up the watch

with the winder in position a, you can wind up the automatic movement manually. at least 2 to 3 rotations of the winder are needed to
start the movement. it is better to wind it up completely. it is fully wound
up after c. 30 rotations of the winder, as then the maximum accuracy
and its power reserve (even after the watch is put down) will last for
the maximum period. after you have set your watch, you should wear
it, so that the automatic winding system (via rotor movement) keeps it
constantly operational.

pull the winder into position c. that stops the watch movement. to set
your watch accurately to the second, it is best to stop the movement as
the second hand is passing the figure 60. you can now position the
minute hand precisely in line with the relevant minute marker and set
the desired time. press the winder back into position a to start the
second hand.
2.3. setting the date (varies by model)
pull the winder into position b. you can now set the date by turning it
to the right. do not make any changes to the date between 8pm and
2am, as the date is automatically advanced by the movement during
this period and you could damage the date advance mechanism.
if the month has less than 31 days, set the date manually to the first
day of the following month.

power reserve (even after the watch is put down) will last for the maximum period. if your model has a screw-locked winder, this must be unscrewed by turning it to the left to start your watch going. after you
have set your watch, you should wear it, so that the automatic winding system (via rotor movement) keeps it constantly operational.

you stop the chronoscope by pressing the start-stop button 8 again.

press the reset button 9. this returns all three of the stopwatch hands to
their starting position.
adding measured times
after measuring the first time, you can add times together by pressing
the start-stop button again instead of the reset button. the chronoscope
hands will then continue running from the stopped position.

4.3. ready for use

to ensure that your junghans watch is always ready for use, you should
avoid allowing its power reserves to run down. the watch regularly
checks to see if it still has sufficient battery power. if it no longer has
enough (e.g. because the battery has run out or the ambient temperature is too low, which impairs battery performance), the second hand
stops for 4 seconds and then quickly catches these 4 steps up. if the
battery does not recover (e.g. through the ambient temperature getting
better), you should take your watch to your authorised specialist dealer to have the battery changed. alternatively, send it to the junghans
service centre.
please ensure that the battery is disposed of properly in accordance
with statutory regulations.

gnie universel, il a travaill comme architecte, peintre, sculpteur et
designeur et nous a laiss une uvre importante, entre autres une des
plus impressionnantes sries de montres, laquelle reste ce jour
presque inchange : les horloges murales et les montres conues pour
junghans. ayant tudi au bauhaus chez walter gropius, il fut lun de
ceux qui surent le mieux allier puret des formes et prcision des proportions.

remarque importante: comme le mcanisme fait passer la date au jour
suivant entre 20 heures et 2 heures, vous ne devez pas programmer la
date pendant cette priode, faute de quoi vous pourriez endommager
le mcanisme de changement de date.
vitez dexposer votre montre des tempratures extrmes ou de
fortes secousses pour ne pas nuire son bon fonctionnement. votre
montre n est pas tanche et ne doit donc pas entrer en contact avec
leau. nous vous conseillons de faire effectuer les interventions et autres
rparations de bracelet par votre spcialiste junghans. votre montre est
quipe dun bracelet de qualit ayant fait lobjet dun contrle qualit trs strict. si toutefois vous deviez remplacer ce bracelet, nous vous
conseillons dopter pour un bracelet de qualit identique et, dans
lidal, pour un bracelet dorigine. la montre et le bracelet peuvent tre
nettoys au moyen dun chiffon sec ou humide. attention: ne pas utiliser de produits chimiques (p. ex. essence ou diluants pour peintures).

1.1. remontage de la montre
tournez la couronne en position a pour remonter le mouvement mcanique manuellement. aprs environ 30 tours, le mouvement est entirement
remont et prcision et rserve de marche maximales sont assures.
attention : ne pas forcer le remontage au del de ce seuil, ceci peut
endommager le mouvement.
1.2. rglage de lheure
tirez avec prcaution le remontoir 1 jusquau bout (pos. b). vous pouvez maintenant dplacer laiguille des minutes et des heures. enfoncez
de nouveau le remontoir 1 dans sa position de dpart (pos. a), jusqu
enclenchement.

lorsque le remontoir est en position a, vous pouvez remonter manuellement le mcanisme automatique. pour mettre en marche le mcanisme, il convient de tourner au moins 2 3 fois le remontoir. vous devez
tourner environ 30 fois le remontoir pour remonter le mcanisme au
maximum et assurer ainsi une prcision optimale et une rserve de
marche maximale (y compris lorsque la montre nest pas porte). une
fois le rglage de lheure effectu, il convient de porter la montre afin
que le dispositif de remontoir automatique permette tout moment un
fonctionnement optimal de votre montre (via le mouvement du rotor).

vous pouvez faire dmarrer le chronomtre en appuyant sur la touche
de dmarrage et darrt (start / stop, touche 8).
arrt du chronomtre
vous pouvez arrter le chronomtre en appuyant une nouvelle fois sur
la touche de dmarrage et darrt (start / stop, touche 8).
remise zro du chronomtre
appuyez sur la touche de remise zro (reset, touche 9). les trois trotteuse du chronomtre se remettent en position zro.
chronomtrage cumul
vous pouvez galement cumuler les diffrents temps chronomtrs en
appuyant nouveau sur la touche start / stop aprs le premier
chronomtrage (au lieu dappuyer sur la touche de remise zro). les
aiguilles du chronomtre reprendront alors leur course partir de la
position o elles se sont arrtes.

4.3. capacit de fonctionnement

afin que votre montre junghans soit toujours oprationnelle, vous
devez faire attention ce quelle ne prsente pas de dfaut dnergie.
la montre teste rgulirement si la pile possde encore suffisamment
dnergie. sil ny a plus assez dnergie (par ex. si la pile est dcharge ou que la temprature ambiante est trop basse, ce qui entrave le
fonctionnement de la pile), la trotteuse sarrte pendant 4 secondes et
rattrape ensuite rapidement ces 4 sauts.
si la pile ne se rtablit pas (par ex. suite une meilleure temprature
ambiante), vous devez faire remplacer la pile par un magasin spcialis autoris ou envoyer la montre au centre de service junghans pour
un changement de pile.
veuillez faire en sorte que la pile soit limine de manire correcte, en
accord avec les dispositions lgales.

max bill fue uno de los artistas ms extraordinarios de nuestro tiempo.
como un autntico genio universal, trabaj como escultor, pintor,
arquitecto y diseador de productos, y nos dej una gran obra producto de su creacin.
tambin nos dej una de las series de relojes ms fascinantes, que
sigue existiendo y que se ha seguido fabricando casi sin cambios
hasta hoy: los relojes de pared y pulsera que desarroll para
junghans. como hijo de la generacin bauhaus, alumno de walter
gropius, en su trabajo supo llevar a la prctica como nadie las aspiraciones en relacin a disear con una claridad constructiva y proporciones precisas, y adems de una manera tan consecuente.

A. indicaciones generales para la coleccin max bill

indicacin importante: entre las 20 y las 2 horas no debe corregir la
fecha, ya que durante este tiempo el mecanismo cambia automticamente la fecha y, por tanto, se podra daar el mecanismo de cambio.
con el fin de mantener a plenitud y con una larga vida til la capacidad total del funcionamiento del reloj, no debe exponerlo a temperaturas extremas o fuertes golpes. su reloj no es resistente al agua por
lo cual no debe mojarlo y evitar el contacto con ella. las dems mantenciones de servicio o reparaciones de correa tambin deben ser realizadas por su especialista junghans. el reloj est equipado de fbrica con una correa de gran calidad, verificada varias veces en nuestra
fbrica. si an as, requiere cambiarla por otra, favor utilice una correa de la misma calidad o, mejor an, otra correa original. el reloj y
la correa se pueden limpiar con un pao seco o ligeramente humedecido.
atencin: no utilizar agentes de limpieza qumicos (p. e., gasolina o
disolvente), de lo contrario, se puede daar la superficie. le recomendamos que lleve su reloj regularmente a su especialista junghans para
que lo revise.

1.1. dar cuerda al reloj
en la posicin de la corona a se puede dar cuerda a mano al mecanismo mecnico. para conseguir dar cuerda hasta el tope, hay que
dar aprox. 30 vueltas a la corona. con el tope de cuerda quedar garantizada la mxima exactitud y la mxima reserva de marcha.
atencin: no girar la corona con fuerza, ya que se podra daar el
mecanismo.
1.2. ajuste de la hora
extraiga completamente con cuidado la corona 1 (pos. b). a continuacin, puede ud. mover el minutero y el horario. una vez ajustada la
hora presione va la corona 1 a la posicin original (pos. a), hasta que
sta se encaje.

con la corona en la posicin a tambin puede dar cuerda al mecanismo automtico manualmente. para poner en marcha el mecanismo
son suficientes, al menos, de 2 a 3 vueltas a la corona. para conseguir el tope de cuerda hay que dar aprox. 30 vueltas a la corona, ya
que, as, se consigue la mxima exactitud de marcha como la mxima reserva de marcha (incluso si se quita el reloj). tras el ajuste, el
reloj se debera llevar puesto para que la cuerda automtica (mediante el movimiento del rotor) mantenga el reloj listo para funcionar
continuamente.

para ello, tire de la corona y pngala en la posicin b. girndola a

automticamente la fecha y, por tanto, se podra daar el mecanismo
de cambio.

pulse el botn de puesta a cero (9). al hacerlo, los tres indicadores del
cronmetro volvern nuevamente a cero.
suma de tiempos medidos
para sumar los tiempos medidos, tras la primera medicin, en lugar

4.3. disponibilidad de funcionamiento

para que su reloj junghans siempre est listo para funcionar, deber
tener en cuenta que no sufra dficit de energa. el reloj comprueba
regularmente si la batera dispone de suficiente energa. en cuanto no
disponga de la energa suficiente (p.ej. a causa de la descarga de la
batera o una temperatura ambiente baja, que merme la capacidad
de la misma), el indicador de segundos se detendr durante 4 segundos y recuperar estos cuatro saltos en breve.
si la batera no se recuperase (p.ej. por una temperatura ambiente
ms adecuada), deber encargarse el cambio de la batera a un
comercio autorizado especializado o enviar el reloj al service center
de junghans para que nos encarguemos nosotros de este cambio de
batera.

max bill stato uno degli artisti pi originali del nostro tempo. un vero
e proprio genio universale, che confrontandosi come architetto, pittore, scultore e designer creativo ci ha lasciato in eredit un ampio
numero delle sue opere. tra queste una serie di orologi che a tuttoggi
viene prodotta pressoch come al momento in cui fu creata: gli orologi da polso e da parete che max bill ha sviluppato per junghans.
dallinsegnamento della bauhaus-schule di walter gropius seppe trarre
e, come nessun altro, con coerenza mettere in pratica laspirazione
alla chiarezza costruttiva e alla precisione delle proporzioni.

avvertenza importante: non effettuare nessuna correzione di data tra
le ore 20 e le ore 2 perch in tale periodo la data viene spostata automaticamente dal meccanismo ad orologeria e si potrebbe danneggiare il meccanismo di scatto.
per conservarne a lungo la piena funzionalit, non esporre lorologio
a temperature estreme e ad urti violenti. questo orologio non impermeabile e quindi non deve venire a contatto con lacqua. affidare operazioni di manutenzione o riparazioni al cinturino sempre ad un rivenditore autorizzato junghans. lorologio dotato di un cinturino di qualit, che noi sottoponiamo a ripetuti controlli interni, qualora dovesse
cambiare il cinturino, le consigliamo di scegliere un cinturino di pari

fare attenzione che non presenti carenza di energia. lorologio controlla regolarmente se c ancora bastante energia. qualora non
dovesse esserci pi energia a sufficienza (p.es. a causa di batteria
scarica o di temperatura ambiente troppo bassa che compromette il
rendimento della batteria) la lancetta dei secondi si arresta per 4 secondi e poi li recupera dopo un breve lasso di tempo.
se la batteria non si riprende (p.es. con una temperatura ambiente
migliore), porti lorologio da un rivenditore autorizzato per la sostituzione della batteria oppure lo mandi al centro di servizio junghans.

max bill was een van de meest ongewone kunstenaars van onze tijd.
als een werkelijk universeel genie werkte hij als architect, schilder,
beeldhouwer, productontwerper en laat ons een omvangrijk werk van
zijn scheppingen achter. zo ook een van de meest fascinerende
horlogemodelseries die er zijn en die tot heden bijna ongewijzigd
worden geproduceerd: zijn wandklokken en horloges die hij voor
junghans ontwikkelde. als bauhaus student van walter gropius begreep hij intutief hoe een constructieve duidelijkheid en exacte proporties voor zijn werk moest nagestreefd worden.

belangrijke opmerking: in de periode tussen 20 en 2 uur mag u geen
datum veranderen, omdat in deze periode de datum automatisch door
het horloge doorgeschakeld wordt en het schakelmechanisme anders
beschadigd zou kunnen worden.
om het horloge lange tijd naar volle tevredenheid te kunnen gebruiken,
moet u dit niet blootstellen aan extreme temperaturen en sterke
schokken. uw horloge is niet waterbestendig en mag daarom niet met
water in aanraking komen. servicewerkzaamheden of reparaties van
armbanden dient u eveneens door uw junghans-vakman te laten uitvoeren. uw horloge is met een meerdere keren in ons huis gekeurde
kwaliteitsarmband uitgerust. indien u echter uw armband wilt vervangen, gebruik dan alstublieft een armband van identieke kwaliteit, het
best weer een originele armband. horloge en armband kunnen met
een droge of licht vochtige doek worden gereinigd. attentie: maak
geen gebruik van chemische reinigingsmiddelen (bv benzine of verdunner). hierdoor kan het oppervlak worden beschadigd. wij adviseren u, uw horloge regelmatig door een junghans vakman te laten controleren.

1.1. opwinden van het horloge
in de kroonpositie a kunt u het mechanisch uurwerk met de hand
opwinden. het geheel opwinden behaalt u na ca. 30 kroonomdraaiingen, de maximale gangnauwkeurigheid en maximale gangreserve
zijn bij volledig opwinden gewaarborgd.
voorzichtig: kroon niet met geweld doldraaien, omdat het uurwerk
hierdoor schade zou kunnen oplopen.
1.2. instellen van de tijd
trek a.u.b. voorzichtig de kroon 1 uit (pos. b). u kunt dan de minutenen uurwijzer op de juiste tijd stellen. druk daarna de kroon 1 weer
terug in uitgangspositie (pos. a), tot deze hoorbaar klikt.

omwentelingen van de kroon nodig. het mechanisme is volledig opgewonden na ca. 30 omwentelingen van de kroon, omdat dan de maximale gangprecisie en de maximale gangreserve (ook nadat u het horloge niet meer draagt) is verzekerd. na de instelling moet het horloge
gedragen worden, opdat de automatische opwinding (via de rotorbeweging) uw horloge constant bedrijfsklaar houdt.

instelling tot op de seconde is het nuttig om het horloge bij de doorgang van de secondenwijzer over de 60 te stoppen. nu kunt u de

instellen. om de secondenwijzer te starten drukt u de kroon weer in
positie a.
2.3. de datum instellen (afhankelijk van het model)
trek hiervoor de kroon in positie b. door de kroon naar rechts te
draaien kunt u nu de datum veranderen. in de periode tussen 20 en 2
uur mag u geen datum veranderen, omdat in deze periode de datum

4.3. bedieningsklaar
opdat uw junghans horloge altijd klaar is om te werken moet u verzekeren dat het horloge geen energiegebreken vertoont. het horloge
controleert regelmatig of er nog voldoende batterijenergie is. beschikt
de batterij niet meer over voldoende energie (bijvoorbeeld door een
ontladen batterij of een te geringe omgevingstemperatuur, die het vermogen van de batterij negatief benvloedt), stopt de secondewijzer
4 seconden en haalt deze 4 sprongen snel in.
recupereert de batterij zich niet (bijvoorbeeld door een betere omgevingstemperatuur), moet de batterij bij een bevoegde vakhandel vervangen worden of moet het horloge naar het junghans service center
gestuurd worden om de batterij daar te laten vervangen.
zorg voor een vakkundige verwijdering van de batterij in overeenstemming met de wettelijke voorschriften.

srg for, at energiforsyningen til deres junghans ur ikke afbrydes. dermed sikres, at det altid er funktionsdygtigt. uret kontrollerer regelmssigt batteriets opladning. er der ikke nok spnding p batteriet (f.eks.
p grund af tomt batteri eller for lav temperatur, som nedstter batteriets ydelse), bliver sekundviseren stende i 4 sekunder og indhenter
