Barber Weekly Update

ACADEMIC CONNECTION:
We the staff at Barber Middle School are excited to start another great year. We look forward
to creating and maintaining a positive relationship with the students, parents and the Acworth
community in order to further student achievement in all instructional areas. Welcome back!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Now is a great time to establish improved organizational skills with your student. Remind
students to write in their agenda every period, and review this information nightly.

The Fine Arts Department at Barber Middle School is off to an exciting start to the school
year! Many of our 6th Grade students have joined at least one Performing ensemble including Band, Chorus, Dance, and Orchestra. There will be an informational meeting for new
Band and Orchestra Parents on August 18 at 7:00pm in the Barber Auditorium.

For 8th Grade Performing Arts students that are planning on attending the Disney Trip
May 12-15, the $200 deposit and contract are due before September 4.

Dont forget to go the BMS Counselors blog and complete the online parent survey

Remember students to get your PTSA membership in order to attend the Membership
Dance on September 15, 2015.
