This summer, NYC Parks has launched TreesCount! 2015 the biggest and best street tree census yet. Working with thousands of volunteers across the city we collect critical information about New York City’s 600,000 street trees. To get to our goal of mapping every street tree in NYC by the fall, we need your help!
We are recruiting volunteers to help us count and map every single tree on every block in New York City. No prior experience is necessary! Volunteers will receive training and tools to collect data. The data collected will help NYC Parks manage the trees we have and plan for the future of our urban forest. We ask that you spread the word and share this information with your community via newsletter, email or circulating the attached flyer.
