2015 Welch Wolf Pack Volleyball

Expectations and Contract

As a Welch Wolf Pack volleyball player, the following is expected of me:

1. I will be a team player. I will always show respect to my teammates and my coaches at all times. If I dont, I
will not play.
2. I will be coachable. I will accept feedback because I know it will help me become the best player I can be. I
will constantly challenge my teammates and myself.
3. I will stay on top of my academics and communicate to my coaches whenever I have concerns. I must
communicate to my coach if I fail a test and or may be failing a class so appropriate action is taken to best assist
me.
4. I will always have a positive attitude. I understand that if I dont, that I will be taken out of a game. I know
that poor attitudes dont win games.
5. I understand that playing time will not be equal and that it is earned by hard work, performance, and
attitude.
6. When I am not in the game, I understand that my responsibilities include cheering for my teammates,
encouraging them, and always remaining positive.
7. I will not allow mistakes to bring me down. I know that I will learn from them.
8. I will work hard at every practice. I understand the consequences of not working hard. Even if I am a better
player than my teammate, I know that I will not play if I am not trying my best or if I am not focused.
9. I will be on at the gym and dressed out by 4:10 pm every practice and help set up the nets by 4:20 pm.
10. I will communicate to my coaches two days in advance about absences, expected latenesses, concerns, or
anything that will affect my game or affect our teams practice plans.
11. As a Welch Wolfpack Volleyball player, I will be on my best behavior at all times and be a model student to
every teacher, coach, and administrator. I understand that inappropriate language/behavior will not be
tolerated. I will report any team concerns and player issues to my coach.
12. I am aware that proper nutrition will provide me with the energy I need for every game and practice. I will
do my best to be a healthy eater.
13. I will always support my fellow Wolfpack teams. As a player, when the different grade is playing, I will sit
behind the bench of my team and cheer them on. My cell phone calls and friends wont distract me. (Same rule
applies to both teams.)
14. I understand that middle school volleyball is a big commitment and I will make practices, games and
social events a priority in my calendar.
15. I will report any injuries to my coach as soon as possible. If I am injured, I will follow the instructions given
to me by my coach and or doctor.
16. I will never say I cant or ever give up on any drill and or game.
17. I will go for every single ball and communicate effectively by calling mine for every single ball.
18. I will respect myself, my teammates, my opponents, the referrers, my teachers, my administrators, and my
coaches.
19. As a team player, I will always focus on effort, team and attitude, not wins and losses. I will win with
humility and lose with dignity. I will celebrate every great play and brush off lost points.
20. I will make sure that I have fun and enjoy every single practice, social event, and game to make this the best
season possible.
