B. Description of the selected course-To prepare learners on the basis principals of
chakra meditations history, meaning, practices, and health benefits. According to
Tantric tradition, everyone has seven energy centers that serve as connection

These spinning balls of energy, called chakras in Sanskrit, receive, integrate and
express our vital life energy. When the flow of energy in one or more of the
chakras becomes blocked, we may develop physical and mental illnesses. The

Evaluation instruments that must be created are a formative evaluation consisting

methods to understanding of the new knowledge by obtain through Self-Directed Learning
(SDL), One-to-One Evaluation, and Small-Group Formative Evaluation.
An evaluation overview of how that information could be used for future decisions regarding the
efficacy and additional offerings of the course or training session may look similar to this: The
one-to-one evaluation revealed that the learners preferred working knowledge of the chakra
meditation in both written and practical form. The instructional materials identified why the
training was needed. The instructions for each section was easy to understand and follow and the
vocabulary was not difficult to understand. When it came down to whether the lesson was clear,
one learner indicated that it took a little time to figure out what was to be done but it became
clearer as the steps started building to the final product.
The learners indicated that the examples were very helpful and there were an adequate
number of them to support the instructions. The practice sections were easy to apply the previous
lesson. One learner indicated that the artwork was funny but helped to relax any tension that was
experienced and the other indicated that the assessment was just enough and tested each section.
They enjoyed audio and video aid used to help explain materials during off class times.
However, both indicated that they would have to practice more to feel confident to actually put
the training to work. The lesson took almost 3.50 minutes to complete and the posttest took 20
minutes for the 8 week courses and the 5 day retreat course each day was 10 hour days with 1
hour for post testing.
The small group evaluation revealed that the instructions were easy to follow but was a
bit confusing at the beginning. The learners indicated that the examples were helpful but more
descriptions and more practice scenarios would make the concepts clearer. One learner found
that the assessment was engaging and it forced the learner to put the steps in order mentally to

answer the questions. The learners also indicated that the training was interesting from beginning
to end and if it was any longer their interest would have diminished. One learner indicated that
the overall training was a little intimidating. The learner expressed that the examples of decision
making was not enough. The assessment was found engaging and recalled all the materials in
order to complete the assessment. The lesson took approximately 2.30-minutes to complete and
the assessment took 25-minutes to complete.
To assist the learner in retention, more artwork and audio/videos will be added to trigger
the memory process. Additional practice sections and scenarios will be added ensuring that the
learner has a better understanding and creating confidence before moving to the next step. This
will also direct the learner to recall the function of the each chakra meditation center and their
ultimate goal of successfully obtaining the basis principals of chakra meditations history,
meaning, practices, and health benefits.
