1.%What!did!you!enjoy!most!about!this!task?!!
I enjoyed discovering the main problems Tokyo had and learning about the solutions and
innovations that had been or could be, implemented to fix them. I was unaware of the terrible
pollution in Tokyo and I learnt a lot about the causes of it and how bad it really is. I enjoyed
thinking creatively and coming up with my own possible solutions. It was very exciting
creating a website that I know I have created myself.
2.%What!did!you!enjoy!least!about!this!task?!!
The least enjoyable part of this task for me was the researching the city characteristics. It took
me a while to find a detailed supply of information to include in my webpage. Although it
helped me to understand the culture of Tokyo more deeply, I struggled to find the information
I needed, therefore making this part less enjoyable.
3.%If!you!did!this!task!again,!what!would!you!do!differently?!!
If I were to recomplete this task, I would definitely begin gathering my research earlier. If I had
of been more organised and gathered my information earlier, it would have been much easier
to write about Tokyo and I wouldnt of needed to constantly been flicking back and fourth
between websites to clarify my knowledge. !

Mentone!Grammars!values!(Integrity,!Respect,!Caring,!Resilience,!Service,!Discipline,!Endeavour).!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This project helped me develop my understanding of the two school values; service and respect.
The pushers in Tokyo are working everyday in a job that is helping their city. Without the
pushers the people travelling to work might not get to work and may not get that days worth
of pay. These pushers are not getting heavily paid, yet they attend work everyday and
continue to help other without expecting anything in return. These people have shown a great
level of service to their communities and learning about this has helped me to understand the
value much more.
The value respect has become clearer to me after learning that people in Tokyo have to live in a
city of terrible pollution. The fact that some people need to wear breathing masks just to ensure

they arent breathing in thick fumes that are in the air, makes me appreciate my living
circumstances a lot more. I am used to having access to clean, unpolluted water whenever I
need it and I now realise that I probably take that for granted. People in Tokyo cannot always
swim in their beaches because of the large amount of waste that has infected the water. After
reading about this, I have deepened my understanding of respect and have learnt to respect
my constant access to clean resources.
