GUIDING PRINCIPLES
All

parents love their children and want a

better future for them.

Every

child can learn and deserves the

option of a college education.

Parents

and teachers must work together

to ensure the educational success of
every child.

For

children, learning is a natural process

that parents and teachers facilitate.

HISTORY: EMID and PIQE

In

the fall of 2013, EMID provided funding to

facilitate member districts in the purchase of
the PIQE program.

In

November of 2013 three districts were

trained in the curriculum: Stillwater, Inver
Grove Heights and Spring Lake Park. Training
was conducted in Spanish and English.

Spring

of 2014 training took place for

Roseville, West St. Paul-Mendota HeightsEagan #197, Stillwater, and South Washington
County, Inver Grove Heights, & St. Paul.

Parent Feedback
APP opened my eyes to how
important it is to be engaged in
the inner workings of the
school.
This was very helpful in
understanding how our school
system works.
The class taught me new tools
and ideas to start NOW and be
more involved as a parent.
I learned that if parents get
more involved in our kids
education the better our kids
would do at school.
