background

II.

Body
A. Main Point 1 ISIS is the biggest terrorist threat today
a. Sub Point 1 What is ISIS?
1. Fact ISIS stands for the Islamic State of
the Iraq and the Levant. Theyre leader Abu
Bakr al Baghdadi had formed the group ISIS
during his time in the prison, Camp Bucca in
Iraq.
b. Sub Point 2 ISIS is one of the biggest terrorist
groups in history.
1. Example ISIS also has around 20,000
members from over 90 different countries
and has control over 90,000 square
kilometers of land ISIS has taken over
Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq. They
have also taken over Raqqa in Syria and
control over oil factories in Iraq.
c. Transition: Review-Preview I talked about the
background of ISIS and now I will move onto my
second point
B. Main Point 2 ISIS has been responsible for many
deaths and dangerous terrorist attacks
a. Sub Point 1 ISIS has attacked many different
people, religions, and countries
1. Comparison Compared to former terrorist
group Al Qaeda, ISIS has been responsible
for large amount of deaths. While Al
Qaedas main focus was against the U.S
Government, ISIS has made public threats

toward media, government, and military.

They have also attacked potential members
through social media and force underage
women into marriage.
b. Sub Point 2 ISIS has been showing up in recent
news a lot lately.
1. Testimony In CNN, there has been many
articles focusing on ISIS. President Obama
has announced that 450 more troops should
be deployed to fight in Iraq. Also Tariq bin
Tahar-Al-Awni-Al-Harzi, a top ISIS leader has
been recently killed by the U.S. Most
recently ISIS planned multiple attacks at
large group events on Fourth of July but
luckily arrests could be made before the
attacks took place.
c. Transition: Review-Preview I talked about
current news and now I will talk about opinions on
ISIS
C. Main Point 3 There are many opinions and views on
ISIS
a. Sub Point 1 - America has many different
opinions on this controversial issue
1. Statistic ISIS believes that they
are a religion that believes in no
peace, genocide, incapability of
change, and believes that they are
the sign of the end of the world.
Many Americans took a CNN poll and
90% chose that ISIS poses a threat
the United States
c. Sub Point 2 - I also have my own opinions on
this topic.
1. Narrative I dont really believe in
judging other peoples beliefs and
religions but their kind of crazy and
scary that they believe in killing
whole races and being the sign of
the end of the world. Also my dad is
in the U.S Army and it could be
dangerous for him. This is a huge
war and I wouldnt want him to get
deployed again. Also ISIS targets
many people including U.S military
meaning my dad could possibly
receive threats

III.
