DEPUTY PROGRAMME MANAGER – Livelihoods Recovery Project
(Bogale & intervention areas)

Solidarités is a French humanitarian organisation present in Myanmar since Nargis Cyclone. The mission
currently consists of post-emergency and recovery programmes in the following regions: South Bogale /
Pyapon Townships.

For its Livelihoods Recovery project in the Delta, Solidarités is currently seeking a motivated and
experienced candidate for the post of Deputy Programme Manager.

Tasks & Responsibilities


The Deputy Programme Manager will assist the Programme Manager in the following tasks:
1- To plan operations and achieve project objectives
2- To oversee the national team and evaluate their performance
3- To contribute to project budget follow-up
4- To take part in the purchasing process
5- To coordinate internally and externally
6- To draft reports on project activities and outputs
7- To ensure that Solidarités regulations and charter are followed.

Profile Required
• At least three years of experience in project management and field team management in the
humanitarian or rural development sector
• Excellent Reporting Skills (English reports writing)
• Excellent level of verbal and written communication in English
• Good computer skills in particular for data processing and analysis
• Previous experience with an INGO in implementing livelihood activities is a must
• Knowledge of the Delta areas is considered as an advantage

Duty station will be Bogale but will require long term field trips in the intervention areas (extreme
South of Pyapon Township). Will require a high motivation and the preparedness to work in
remote areas under difficult living and working conditions.

The tasks and responsibilities as well as the position title may vary according to the qualification and the
experience of the selected candidate.
