CT STUDY OF HEAD PLAIN AND CONTRAST


Posterior Fossa

Cerebellopontine angle and prepontine cisterns are seen normally.

Fourth ventricle is normal in size and midline in location.

Cerebellar parenchyma and brain stem appears to be normal.

Supratentorial

Tiny hypodense areas are seen in bilateral basal ganglionic , left centrum semiovale
and right posterior parietal regions .No evidence of fresh bleed is seen. No contrast
enhancement is seen

Cortical sulci are prominent .

Basal cisterns are seen normally.

Third and both lateral ventricles are normal .

No midline shift is seen.

Bilateral thickening of skull vault is seen in frontal regions .

OPINION:
BILATERAL BASAL GANGLIONIC, LEFT CENTRUM SEMIOVALE AND
RIGHT POSTERIOR PARIETAL INFARCTS.
DIFFUSE CEREBRAL ATROPHY
BILATERAL HYPEROSTOSIS FRONTALIS INTERNA .
