Children return to school

To the following children who have a birthday this week:Damilola Johnson (7), Mia Murray (6), Aashka Thomas (5), Letycja Wator (5),
Ruby Moss (7).

At St. Anne Line Catholic Infant School we

value good school attendance!
Regular
attendance supports your child in making good
progress and achieving across the curriculum!
Taking your child out of school during term time could be detrimental to your childs
educational progress. A pupil who takes 10 days absence will only attain 94.7% attendance in a
year. 10 days absence also means the pupil will miss 50 hours of education. Please remember
there is no entitlement to parents to take their child out of school during term time.

ATTENDANCE IS DOWN TO 96.7% Lets see if we can get it up

to 97% again soon!
The winners of the prize draw for 100% attendance this week are Tom Clack (Owls), Alisha Biju
(Doves), Jason Osigwe (Kingfishers), Viktoria Szlaszynska (Herons),
Samantha Adenuga (Sparrows), Braden Donohoe (Wrens), Andrew Lazatin
(Robins)
Our school Race to the Top class attendance competition is up and running
again for this half term. You need to come to school every day to give your
class a chance of winning!

Reminder:

Please make sure that your child has a named sun hat every day
in school and that the children have sun cream applied to them before they leave
home in the morning. We will top this up during the day, if you have given us
permission to do so. If you would prefer to supply your own sun cream for your
child, please make sure their name is on the bottle and give it to the class teacher.

Thank you to all who returned the questionnaires to aid

us in our planning for the next academic year. Your
views and ideas are much appreciated. There were some comments about the
sweets the children bring home from time to time, mainly that sweets are not a
healthy snack! We would like to point out that any sweets the children have are
brought in by other children to share in celebration of a birthday and not
provided as snack by the nursery.

Reception visit: On Wednesday 1st July most of the nursery children will be visiting their
reception classes. If your child is not involved in this visit they are welcome to come to the
nursery in the morning but please be aware that they will be in with Ducklings and that there
will be no afternoon session on this day.

Beach Trip: Parents and children are asked to ensure that they arrive at Wilkinsons by the
time stated in the letter so that we are all ready to go together.
Duckings: Children that attends Duckings cannot go to the beach without a parent. If you are
unable to accompany your child please keep them at home for the day as all nursery staff will
be going.

All children: Please remember to put suncream on your child before they leave home and
make sure your child has a sunhat (clearly named)

Afternoon parents: Please ensure that your child arrives at the nursery by 12.30pm and that
they are collected promptly at the end of the session between 3.00-3.30pm.
