FABLE
-A fable is also a brief story illustrating a moral. Unlike the parables, fables
often include talking animals or animated objects as the principal characters.
The interaction of these animals or inanimate things reveals general truths
about human nature, i.e., a person can learn practical lessons from the
fictional antics in a fable.
- Fable, narrative form, usually featuring animals that behave and speak as
human beings, told in order to highlight human follies and weaknesses. A
moralor lesson for behavioris woven into the story and often explicitly
formulated at the end.
Features of Fable:
Fables often use the main characters as animals that are presented
with anthropomorphic characteristics such as the ability to speak and
to reason.
FAIRYTALE
-A fairy tale is a type of short story that typically features
European folkloric fantasy characters, such
as dwarves,elves, fairies, giants, gnomes, goblins, mermaids, trolls,
or witches, and usually magic or enchantments. Fairy tales may be
distinguished from other folk narratives such as legends (which generally
involve belief in the veracity of the events described) and explicitly moral
tales, including beast fables.
