To whom it may concern:

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Laura Mann for employment. I have
known Laura in many different capacities. Her dedication to her profession is
obvious.
Laura was the classroom teacher for all three of my children science and
computers. She not only showed care and concern for all the students in her
classrooms, she was also able to provide them with skills that they could use further
in life. She showed them the value of online learning and opportunities available
such as building a digital portfolio for later employment. She has high standards and
expectations from all of her students and is supportive in helping them in reaching
their potential.
Laura is a colleague. She has been a dedicated and respected leader both in and
out of the classroom. She is a fixture at after school activities and sporting events
and is comfortable leading assemblies within our building. Laura always has the
best interest of student and staff at heart.
Laura has been a co-collaborator with me on the Building Leadership Team. Our
mission was to ensure that undertakings in our building were fair and understood
for all involved. As we were guiding the building, we had to look at what
administration was asking and weigh that with what the teachers and other staff
were already juggling. Laura ensured that during our meetings, careful, detailed
notes were taken and then dispersed promptly to all staff so that those who were
unable to attend were aware of what had taken place.
Laura was one of the co-founders and advisors of the National Junior Honor Society
chapter in our school which helps students get ready for their future steps in life
and further strengthen their scholarship, service, leadership, character and
citizenship. She devotes many hours before and after school in order to show the
students the value of achievement and exceptional student character.
Laura is an affiliate of 4-H. Her daughter has an interest in horses while my son
worked with pigs. Therefore, I was able to witness her working not only with her
child, but with other adults and children in that capacity. Her concern for their
success was evident in this area also.
Laura is also a friend. Someone you can count on to be there, to listen carefully and
to respect your privacy when necessary. Her thoughtfulness, caring and support are
characteristic of the model friend. I feel that all of these qualities are also
advantageous for a good employee. I feel Laura would be a valuable addition to
