Installation starting from the eaves


" Place the 2 S spacers as per Fig. 10A 10B at abt. 96 cm from the line (Fig. 11) , being sure to press the upper part.
" Apply a line of Bitustick along the eave line (Fig. 12).

" Place Tegosolar as per Fig. 9, being sure to place it inside the S spacers.

" Nail Tegosolar with 12 large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence, equidistant at abt. 25 cm as per Fig.

" Repeat the same procedure and place the other Tegosolar right and left 'till the line is completed (Fig. 13).

Waterproofing of the connection


" Take as reference the green lines in Fig. 14 and place the L profiles pre - joined with butyl, as per Fig. 15. Be sure that the butyl BITUSTICK
completely adheres by removing the lower protection and by sealing the connection between the tiles (Fig. 15).
" Fix the L profiles with large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence where the holes are done (Fig. 16).

Starting from a roof with bituminous shingles


Stated that, while passing from a part of the slope made with bituminous shingles to a part made with Tegosolar, it's necessary to guarantee the continuous waterproofing of
the roof, it's also necessary to evaluate the minimal overlap of Tegosolar compared to the expected exposure of the shingles. I.e. for Standard or Prestige Elite the minimal
overlap shall be 19,5 cm, while for Prestige Compact it will be 5 cm.

" Once the starting line for Tegosolar is decided, apply a line of Bitustick at 4-5 cm of that line (Fig. 17), unless there are the thermo or self adhesive points making this function
in that position.
" Place the S spacers at 96 cm from the marking (Fig. 17) paying attention to press the upper side, and fix them with large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high

adherence.
" Place Tegosolar as per Fig. 17, paying attention to place it inside the S spacers.

" Apply Tegosolar with 12 large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence, equidistant at abt. 25 cm as stated in Fig. 17.

" Repeat the same procedure for placing the other Tegosolar right and left, 'till the line is done (Fig. 18).

Continue installing Tegosolar


" Remove the upper film of the installed tile (Fig. 19-20)
" Place the two S spacers at 96 cm from the right and left corner of Tegosolar (Fig. 19-20). They have to be embedded into the
upper side of the installed tile and nailed in the proper hole.
" Place the new Tegosolar as in the picture, paying attention to let it enter into the spacers that shall also work as locks. The new

Tegosolar will also lay on the L profiles installed before (Fig. 21).
" Apply Tegosolar with 12 large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence, equidistant at abt. 25 cm as stated in

Fig. 21.
" With the same process install Tegosolar right and left 'till the line is done.

Waterproofing of the connection


" Referring to the green line marked in Fig. 22 place the L profiles pre attached with butyl adhesive, as per Fig. 23. Pay attention that

the butyl line, once the lower protection is removed, fully adhere and seals the connection between the tiles placed side by side,
and between the lines (Fig. 23). Fig.19
" Fix them with large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence, in correspondence of the holes (Fig. 24).

Lateral left connection with a shingles layer


During the nails installation it is possible to install first Tegosolar and after shingles or vice versa. At the
end the two layers shall be in contact and must be waterproofed and connected with a L profile.

" Install the Tegosolar, following instructions at page 5 and placing the L profile at the right of
connectors, following instructions in fig. 22 23 24 25 in order to obtain what stated in Fig. 26.
" Install the shingles at the left of Tegosolar. The two layers shall be in contact (Fig. 26)

" Place the L profile at the left of connectors, on the shingles (Fig. 26b) Seal
" As per Fig. 27 fix the profiles with 3 large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence,

in correspondence of the holes. Seal eventual discontinuities of the surface.


" Repeat the operation 'till completion of the installing scheme.

Lateral right connection with a shingle layer


During the nails installation it is possible to install first Tegosolar and after shingles or vice versa.

" In Abb. 28 shingles and Tegosolar have already been applied respecting the marking of
them both and nails position as well.
" In order to be able to proceed with the waterproofing of the connection it's necessary to

apply the L profile by removing the bottom protection. Let completely adhere the butyl
adhesive on the shingles, also compensating eventual relieves that they make (Abb. 29
29b).
" As per Abb. 29 29b fix the profiles with 3 large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304

high adherence, in correspondence of the holes.


" Repeat the operation 'till completion of the installing scheme.

" For completing the connection install the R profile. This profile, in Abb. 30b, is put into the

upper corner of the L profile, and fixed (Abb. 30).

Installation staring from the eaves


" Place the first left Tegosolar close to the marking line (Fig. 31) for the torch on application. Fully lift up the tail of Tegosolar and warm by flame the membrane's bitumen.
Once it's softened re - place Tegosolar and push it in order to help the adhesion.
" Repeat the above for the other Tegosolar at the right 'till completion of the line (Fig. 32).

" Pay attention not to direct the flame towards the upper surface of Tegosolar or towards the connectors.

Waterproofing of the connection


" Remove partially the transparent film of Tegosolar in correspondence of the connection (Fig. 33)

" Remove the protection from the butyl tape of the L profile. Place them paying attention that the holes coincide with the nails arising from Tegosolar (Fig. 33). In this phase

pay attention that the butyl tape fully adhere and seals the connection (Fig. 34).
" Fix the L profiles with the self blocking screws pressing properly (Fig. 35).

Starting from a roof with shingles

" Pay attention not to direct the flame towards the upper surface of Tegosolar or towards the connectors

Continue the installation of Tegosolar

" Place the two S spacers at 96 cm from the left and right corner of Tegosolar (Fig. 38 39). They have to be embedded into the

upper side of the installed tile.


" Place the new Tegosolar as in the picture, paying attention to let it enter into the spacers that shall also work as locks. The new

Tegosolar will also lay on the L profiles installed before (Fig. 40).
" Fully lift up the tail of Tegosolar and warm by flame the membrane's bitumen. Once it's softened re - place Tegosolar and push it in

order to help the adhesion.


" Repeat the above for the other Tegosolar at the right 'till completion of the line.

" Pay attention not to direct the flame towards the upper surface of Tegosolar or towards the connectors

Waterproofing of the connection


" Remove partially the transparent film of Tegosolar, in correspondence of the connection (Fig. 41).

" Remove the protection from the butyl tape of the L profile. Place them paying attention that the holes coincide with the nails

arising from Tegosolar (Fig. 42). In this phase pay attention that the butyl tape fully adhere and seals the connection between
Tegosolar and Tegosolar and between line and line (Fig. 43).
" Fix the L profiles with the self blocking screws pressing properly (Fig. 43).

Lateral left connection with a shingles layer


In the torch on installation it's necessary to install Tegosolar first and shingles after. At the end the two
layers shall be in contact and shall be waterproofed and connected with a L profile.
" Place the Tegosolar following instructions at Fig. 41 42 43 44 in order to obtain what stated at Fig.

45.
" The torch on installation of Tegosolar must be done by step because it's necessary to make some

holes into the tile itself, in order to insert then large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high
adherence, for fixing the L profile.
" Place the shingle in connection with the Tegosolar. By means of the L profile locate where to make

the holes (Fig. 45).


" Make the holes and insert large headed roofing nails, stainless steel AISI 304 high adherence 20 mm

long from the back of the tile. Place again the shingle and torch it on (NB. Do not direct the flame
towards Tegosolar).
" Proceed as above for the following shingles (Fig. 46)

" Once the shingles installation is done remove the bottom protection of the L profiles and apply

them. The nails should enter into their holes, and the butyl must adhere both on the shingle and on
Tegosolar in order to waterproof the connection (Fig. 47).

Lateral right connection with a shingles layer


In the torch on installation for the right connection it's possible to install Tegosolar first and
shingles after, or vice versa.

" In Fig. 48 the shingle and the Tegosolar layers are already installed respecting the marking
and the installation procedures of both products.
" In order to proceed with the waterproofing of the connection it's necessary to apply a L

profile by removing the protection. The nails should enter into their holes, and the butyl must
adhere both on the shingle and on Tegosolar in order to waterproof the connection (Fig. 49
49b).
" Repeat the operation 'till completion of the installing scheme.

" For completing the connection install the R profile. This profile, in Fig. 50b, is put into the

upper corner of the L profile, and fixed (Fig. 50).

Execute the connections between the tiles according to the electrical


project (the Italian law requires a certification on the wiring that can be
issued by a specialized electrician only).
As protection of the cables and connectors apply the cap as per Fig. 51,
and fix it in its holes with the proper screws (Fig. 52).
