School SAT Meeting Notes

Reviewing attendance concerns:
A student is continuously not showing up or is consistently tardy
o She is living in a home with 8 other children
o Step-sister has twins and her boyfriend is a sexual offender
Another student is late because she is babysitting her siblings before they go
to a late start school because the family cannot afford daycare.
Another student has attendance issues and is dealing with ethnicity and
identity issues.

Roll through list of students from last week.

Added new students to the list based on this week:
Went through a list of students who are in 6th grade and receiving Us
(failing)
Suspension for students having possession and smoking marijuana on school
property
o One of the students was also caught for having a knife and knife blade
in his backpack as well as a bag of what he called tobacco and green
tea
Student was going through expulsion process
o Another student had firecrackers and a lighter in his backpack
2 girls were in a fight while another video taped the fight.
o One girl got 5 days suspension and a ticket for assault. The other got
one day suspension for fighting back.

Final week- watch kids to put on the list for the beginning of the year.
