Colosseum

Facts
The colosseum was originally called the Flavian Amphitheatre, after the Flavian
dynasty of the emperors that included Vespasian, Titus and, Domitian
The name colosseum is a Latin word that means colosseus that means colossal
The fee for the games in the Colosseum was free.
The Colosseum can hold between 50,000 and 80,000 Romans
The Colosseum is located in the Center of Rome

What the Colosseum is made of

The Colosseum is made of up lime stone


It also has pillars on the outside where the public can see
The Colosseum also has concrete
The first colosseum was made in Rome
In this picture its the
underground tunnels that
spectators can not see.
They put the slaves and the
wild animals in stables.
When they wanted the
slaves to fight they would
load they slaves and the
animals into into this
elevator and pull them up
into the Colosseum.

Modern Day Structures


The madison square garden is used for almost the same thing as the colosseum. Its used
for games like basketball, hockey, etc.
The Madison Square Garden is made of concrete and has
a lot of tunnels under ground just like the colosseum.

More ModernDay structures


The TD Garden is made out of concrete and limestone. We use the TD Garden to have
basketball and hockey. Unlike the Colosseum we do not use the TD Garden to kill
people. And we don't kill animals in the TD Garden

Bruins to play hockey.

Inside the Colosseum


Inside the Colosseum 500,000 have been killed in ancient Rome. They have
slaves that fight to the death. And they also have wild animals that they have
slaves fight them to the death. They have trap doors for special effects. They
have a pulley elevator to move the slaves and and wild animals to the stage to
fight to the death.
