1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)

2. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25)

Those areas, the margins of which are defined by white

stakes and/or white lines, or by GUR signage.
Note: Stakes defining GUR are Immovable Obstructions.
b. Except in a hazard clearly defined wheel marks and/or
ruts made by a mower, tractor or motor vehicle.
3. GROUND UNDER REPAIR - PLAY PROHIBITED
All cultivated garden beds within bounds.

If a tree or shrub, under 2 clubs in height or staked,

interferes with a players stance or area of intended
swing, the ball MUST be lifted without penalty and
dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed
in Rule 24-2b(i) (Immovable Obstruction).

6. ROADS AND PATHS (Rule 24-2)
All roads and paths are Immovable Obstructions.
7. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS CLOSE TO PUTTING
GREEN
The specimen Local Rule in Appendix I.5 applies
(see page 128 of Rules of Golf).
8. POWER LINES, POLES AND STAYS
If a ball strikes an overhead power line, pole or
attached stay within the boundary of the course, the
ball must be replayed without penalty as near as
possible from the spot which the original ball was last
played in accordance with Rule 20-5.
