Rosemount vs. Centennial


No doubt, this game takes a little over an hour to watch, but for anyone wishing to watch some good girl’s
basketball, and have the luxury of instant replay, then that hour it would take to watch this game would be
an excellent investment in a player’s basketball education.

The video has been broken down for your convenience. Certain plays and executions have been identified,
and itemized in the table below. They represent examples of the things we’ve talked about in practice,
and sometimes seeing them in action helps a player incorporate them into their own game.

So, for whatever value you may gain from it, here’s the breakdown.

If it appears I’m cheering for White, you’d not be far off. They seem to play the type of game I’m hoping
we play. So that would explain the far greater number of white plays identified. For the record, Red, or
Centennial, is the favoured team, as they were the finalists in the State Championship the year before.

18:38 White 45 45 combines the high post and sets two separate screens for other players.

screen. People tend to forget about you. Make them pay for that mistake!
11:15:13 White 8 8 gets locked in the corner. Watch her bounce the ball off red and out of
bounds, giving white possession through an inbound. Heads-up basketball.
