DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Assignment #4: Elements & Principles Fieldtrip

OBJECTIVE:
Students will observe and create visual compositions putting to use the Elements and Principles of Art.
Students will take a series of photographs (5-7) that represent the Elements and Principles of Art and write about and submit the best representation from
three different series.
Students will analyze their images and identify the most important compositional elements in the three different photographs.
DIRECTIONS:
Take a series of photos of an object or area (3-7) from a variety of angles.
Upload the photos to iPhoto and edit as needed. Choose the best composition from each series.
Document the object and location in each box example: Wheel, Ceramics room.
Copy and paste each photo in to the box. You will need to shrink the photo in size on the next page, before it can fit in a box.
Analyze your best image from the series use your resources: Focus on Photography Text: Chapter 2, your Composition PPT, Urn &
Column assignment, Elements and Principles Chart.
Email completed document to marni.oberpriller@stpaul.k12.mn.us and titled Elements & Principles YOUR NAME.
