Objective
To obtain a teaching position where I can help develop and instill a lifelong love of learning in
the young minds of our community.

Previous work Experience


Long term substitute teacher-Guy E. Rowe elementary school, Norway, Maine.
May 2015-June 2015
-Planning and instructing all lessons for second grade classroom.
-Participated in grade level meetings.
-Attended weekly teachers meetings.
-Closed school year for second grade classroom, including completion of report cards.

-Assisting with daily planning of lessons as well as the instruction of such lessons.
-Teaching daily five reading groups with varied instruction for various reading levels.
-Conducting morning meeting and shared reading for given day.

-Lead math workshop consisting of problem of the day, a quick review, mini lesson, and practice
in small group rotations.
-Lead closing meeting before classroom dismissal.

- State of Maine teaching certificate with 020 endorsement.
-Technologically inclined; proficient with Microsoft Word and Power Point.
- Experience in the elementary school classroom, working with students of ages from 6 11
years old.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Easy to get along with and can easily blend with other educational staff and administration.
-Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Response to
Intervention (RTI), Responsive Classroom, My Math program, Lucy Caulkins writing program,
daily five guided reading, and Fountas & Pinnell guided reading intervention.
