Achievement Gap
Achievement Gap: Students with equal ability do not achieve academic
success at the same levels (Holcomb-McCoy, 2007).
There is a disproportional rate in educational achievement within
diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds (Holcomb-McCoy, 2007).
Low-income and minority students encounter lower levels of academic
achievement (Holcomb-McCoy, 2007).
Recent trends suggests that females are outpacing males in terms of
educational achievement (College Board, 2013).
