one specific color. Typical
raster images are created
from cameras or scanners

mathematical calculations,
these are created by vector
image software

consistent enlargements

sizes and are best for detailed
edits, photography and images
that do not need to be scaled.

Vector images are not good for high

detailed images, because they are
made of lines and curves, but have
small files sizes and can be scaled.
