2013 Installation and Quick Start Guide

Installation
STEP1:OnceCADWorx2013isreceived,placediskinComputerandthedialogboxwillpopupbelow.Thereisnoneed
touninstallthepreviousversion.

STEP2:SelecttheRun_ReadMe.htmtoopenthefollowingwebpage:

STEP3:SelectthefirstoptionPlant_PID\setup.exetoinstallCADWorx2013.Thefollowingdialogboxwillappear:

STEP4:SelectNexttobegintheinstallationofCADWorx2013.

STEP5:SelecttheappropriateversionofAutoCADyouhaveonyourmachineandSelectNext.

STEP6:SelecttheCheckBoxforPlantProfessionalandtypeinyourSerialNumberprovidedonyourpackingslip.The
sameappliestoP&IDandP&IDProfessionalifpurchased.ClickNext.

STEP7:Verifythedestinationfolder.ThiswillcreateanewDirectoryandwillNOTaffectpreviousversionsofCADWorx
installedonyourmachine.SelectNext.


STEP8:SelectNext

STEP9:SelecttheGreenUSBbutton,andthenclickNext.DONOTSELECTTHEREDUSBEVER.
STEP10:KeepselectingOK,untilyougettothescreenbelow.

STEP11:SelectOK.ThiswillbegininstallationoftheHASPHLDriver.

STEP12:AfterinstatllationofHASPDriver,selectFinishtorestartyourmachine.

Quickstart

STEP1:TobeginCADWorx2013,selectthebelowicononyourdesktop:

STEP2:Selectyoudrawingenvironment.ThedefaultisImperial.IfyouwouldliketorunMetric,selecttheappropriate
oneandselectClose.

STEP3:Tobeginmodelingpipe,selectthesetupiconontheribbonorfromthepulldownmenu(Plant>Setup).

STEP4:Inthesetupdialogbox,selectConfigurationSettings.Thedefaultconfigurationfileisbasedonthedrawing
environmentselected.InthiscaseImperialwasselected.Thisiswhereyouhavetheoptiontoselectacustom
configurationfileifnecessary.

STEP5:SelecttheSpecification/Sizetab.

STEP6:SelectBrowsetoselecttheappropriateProjectfile(.PRJ)thenewprojectspecificationfiletype.

STEP7:ScrolldownuntilyouseetheSample_Inch.Prj.Thiscontainsthe150#,300#,600#,Example,asseenbelow.

STEP8:Selecttheappropriateratingyouwilluseandthenselecttheappropriatemainandreductionsizes.Pressthe
ApplyandClosebutton.

STEP9:OpentheSpecPaletteandStartPipingasbefore.
