o Provided individual instruction and test preparation for two students in AP US History course to increase
performance on AP exam and grades in the course.

o Volunteered with one of the largest student-run nonprofit organizations at the University of Michigan to
promote unity and collaboration between the Ann Arbor and Detroit communities
o Offered individual instruction in 4th and 5th grade students at two schools in Detroit (Mark Twain
Academy and Bennett Elementary) to improve reading fluency and comprehension
o Served as a classroom aide in Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms working with ESL students on science

o Served as President of Lutheran Student Fellowship for two years, organizing social events to build a
community of believers on campus, including participation in U of Ms Taste of Michigan event at which
we distributed samples of coffee and smoothies to hundreds of students.
o Founded Young Adult Ministry group for recent college graduates, planning and coordinating social
events including Bible studies, bowling nights, and trips to the zoo to build fellowship and friendship.
o Designed and implemented a small group bible study curriculum while serving as a Camp Counselor for
seven years.
o Participated in three Mission Trips to Mexico to serve poor, rural communities by building a church,
leading a Bible School program, and engaging in various other community service projects.
