COMMUNITY
The project will be set up in boarding house(Behind the Elementary School)
saturday evening. It is targeted for ages 16+ (Students who have just finished
Madresah)
We will have registrations beforehand through google docs. We will only
accommodate first 8/10 groups. Registration will be done in groups of 4 people.
For refreshments, people can buy from motomoto cafeteria (we will be provide
water)
Each member will be charged 2500/- (10,000/- per group)
The event will be broken down into 5 parts. Each part will have its own set of
activities that everyone will do at the same time. Each part will last 20 minutes
long.

This project qualifies as experiential learning because it a process of
planning and tring. As we work on the ides we will try to see that they are

possible to do, also our final product which is the competition will give us
an experience of how to plan such event for the future.

Challenge #1: Straw Tower


DESCRIPTION:

To build the tallest tower out of 100 straws

20 minutes
100 drinking straws, masking tape, measuring
Scissors and a pencil.

Event Parameters:
1. The tower must be constructed using only the drinking straws and masking
tape.
2. The straws can be interconnected directly by sliding one end into another
straw. Straws may be bent, cut or slit.
3. Students may not completely cover their structure with masking tape as
reinforcement; tape is used at joints only. Tape may not be used to secure the

tower to a table, base, ceiling or surface. You may not make a leg, brace, cone or
column out of tape.
