My future

This year Ill finish eighth grade of elementary school. This means that I have to
start thinking about my future. First, I have to choose my next school high school.
After the exams, if my results are good, I will probably decide to go to general high
school (gimnazija??), where I will learn about different subjects and find out what I
want to do in my life. Right now I am interested in journalism and acting. When Im
not in school, I am involved in many activities on TV and in media. I also like
mathematics and science, but Im not sure if thats something I would like to study.
I hope to learn a lot of interesting things, and then decide what the best choice is
for me. My parents always tell me that education is very important and I agree
with them. I think that now times are different than when they went to school, it
looks like some other things are valued more in society. But my goal is to choose a
profession I love and make a successful career.

I visited
Last summer, when I was on holiday with my parents and sisters, we visited Italy.
We spent two weeks traveling from city to city by car. Italy is beautiful country with
friendly people. It is very popular tourist destination, and on the street of every
town you can hear many different languages. From all the places we visited, my
favourite cities are Venice and Florence. Venice is famous for its canals and small
islands and beautiful old buildings. We spent a couple of days walking around the
historic city center sightseeing and visiting museums and galleries. Florence is very
different from Venice, but its also a city where you wish you could stay much
longer. Florence was the city where many artists created important works of art and
the center of powerful families who built beautiful palaces. Unfortunately, we didnt
have a lot of time to explore all monuments and museums. Apart from all the
history and art, Italy is famous for its food and I really enjoyed walking around old
cities and eating best ice cream in the world!
