Dear Ms. Myers,
(til)(6) , (bt( )( )
Major I am writing this letter to respectively request participation in the Delegation of
Authority pursuant to Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
The Alamance County Sheriffs Office currently has thirteen certified trained
officers in the ICE Detention/Removal section of the 287(g) program but would
like to expand our working relationship with ICE by receiving the training to
become involved in a Immigration and Custom Task Force.

The Alamance County Sheriffs Office has been working with ICE for more than
a year now processing and holding ICE Detainees in our Detention Facility.
We feel very confident of our ability to continue this service and would like
to broaden our horizon by getting at least three of our current sworn 287g
Deputies trained to work on an Immigration and Custom Task Force. These
individuals would work hand in hand with Immigration an Custom Agents
thus providing more manpower to achieve our local and national goals.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. I hope we can receive
a quick favorable response to this request. I look forward to hearing your answer
soon.
