~ I dedicate this book to my father ~

THANK YOU NOTE

Every thing is the result of a DREAM: D(are), R(ealize), E(ngage), A(ttract),

M(ake). Its profoundness is depending on the time and energy that you spend in
order to make your dream come true.
The concept, the writing and the publication of this book would not have been
possible without the support of the persons who are close to me, who have
understood the meaning of my ideas.
I would like to give thanks, first of all, to my family. I am grateful to my parents
and grandparents for the education that they gave me. This is how my vision has
been born, through several years of studying and experience.
Next I have the honour to thank the distinguished lady who is Nadia Laura
Frca, the manager of the Ecou Transilvan Publishing House and to her fantastic
team for the trust that they had in my creative potential and for their constant
encouragements.
I woul also like to thank my spiritual mentors who endowed me with wisdom:
Anca Horje (Usui Reiki Ryoho), Carmen Ion (Munay Ki), Andrea Filip
(ThetaHealing), but also to the faculty of professors from the Faculty of Psychology
and Sciences of Education in Cluj, who shared their knowledge during the years
when I was a student.
This year there are being celebrated 10 years of existance in Cluj of the School of
Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology.
I would also like to thank to those who havent supported me during the writing
process of this book maybe out of envy or jealousy but who have still shown me
a way in life.
Thank you all that you exist.
Thank you, reader, for having opened this book. Because you embarked in this
journy of knowledge and of self-knowledge. I wish you bon voyage and trust in the
journey!

PREFACE

The psychic is so different in comparrison to the other fenomena existing in the

Universe. Relationships between humans are very importanta nd complex,
representing the braiding on which life lies, the structure of human successes,
miracles or disasters. Psychology is quite closely linked to other fields such as
religion, phylology, mythology, spirituality, phylosophy. We live in a twilight zone
of reality, which scientific research approaches in a creative manner. People are
always looking for whatever gets them closer to their own wishes and helps them
become conesseurs of the Universe that they live in.
Humans power is well hidden because many do not understand that it is a power
og good and actually wish to use the force of the spirit for destruction. Humans are
always looking for something that can help them remove unhappiness from their
lives, but thay can understand with dificulty that they themselves are the only ones
that put obstacles in the manifestation of the Good and in the accomplishment of
their own being. Humans can reach their Divine Essence, from where any kind of
creation is possible, if they remove the evil for good from their manifestation (traits
and attributes, good or bad human deeds). Personal success doesnt only mean that
you yourself feel better or happier with your life. It also means to trust that you can
obtain what you want and that you are motivated to do what it takes for this to
happen. Success needs a clear understanding of the way in which it would be good
to create the life that you want.
The volume of the author Carmen Moraru is a very interesting motivational book
which helps us understand the dynamics of our own lives, to know how important
are the styles of communication and behaviour. While reading this book, you will
realize how important are the three components of the mind: the subconsciuos, the
conscious and the defense mechanism. Plus the Reiki principles. As we all know,
spiritual medicine is the cure for many diseases.
I warmly recommend this book written by a wonderful author. We are Gods
Creation and this is why I urge you: be kind to others and everything will be alright.
Nadia Frca

FORWARD

Dear reader,
I hope you will find within the pages of this book methods and ways to
considerably improve your life.
I am writing this book starting from the experience that I have, including some
things that I understood as time went by and that helped me endure my existance.
I will expain in the following page sthe way in which I see the dynamics of life,
emotions, behaviour.
My perspectives are based upon several models and theories that I found useful,
from various rational, cognitive and behavioural therapies, that Ive reunited into a
new model, which I called The C Dynamic Pyramid.
This is meant to be a motivational book, to help you understand the dynamics of
your own life, why things are happening the way that they are and what is the
direction that they are heading into.
Staring from several theories and models from psychology, neurolinguistical
programming (NLP), change management, but also other spiritual teaching (I mean
the Munay Ki tradition of Alberto Villoldo), I have built a pyramid rendering special
meanings to its parts.
One day I was reviewing a few models and theories which I wanted to make use
of in the lifecoaching sessions with my clients, at a holistic center in my hometown.
As I read them, I was taking notes and I ended up drawing four triangles on a piece
of paper. I looked at them and I asked myself: what would I be able to do with these
triangles? The answer came quick: a pyramid. Which would unify these models and
theorie into a new vision. A spiritual pyramid.
In the next second, the subconscious handed me on a plate the following: the
Pyramid of Abraham Maslow and the Pyramid of Jib Fowles, professor of
communication at University of Houston - Clear Lake. The first is the Pyramid of
fundamental needs (created by Abraham Maslow) and the second is the Pyramid of
needs that can be target in an advertising campaign (created by Jib Fowles and
based on thjat of Maslow). Maslows pyramid comprised five fundamental needs and
that of Jib Fowles fifteen needs, so I had a total of twenty needs. I had four triangles
(each of them corresponding to one of the pyramids facets) and I could divide these

twenty needs into four groups. What came out is something quite interesting. It is
what I am going to present to you in this book.
It is a unique way in which you can turn any situation in your favour.
So I had four triangles with needs which overlaped the previous ones. But
couldnt I include each of the needs in each of the triangles that I had? The answer to
this question was a positive one. And then couldnt these layers of the pyramid (five
on every facet) be dynamic? The answer that I found to all these questions was a
surprising one. And then couldnt these layers of the pyramid (five on every facet)
be dynamic? The answer that I fopund to all these questions was a surprising one.
Ill let you discover it within the following pages...
And now a little bit about me...
For the last 13 years Ive been studying the science of the mind, by attending the
courses of the Faculty of Psychology in Cluj (2000-2004 and by getting to know the
Japonese Reiki Healing system (I graduated the Ususi Reiki Ryoho course in 2011).
Then, in 2012, I received the nine rites of Munay Ki, and in 2013 I graduated the
ThetaHealing course.
With coaching and NLP I became familiar in a network marketing company in the
educational field, where I attended a few courses in 2009.
All these things happened because this book had to be written sometime in the
future. That time is NOW.
I finish writing this book today, June 24th 2013, on the Snziene holiday, a time
filled with spiritual and mythological meanings. Accidently or maybe not, these
coinide with the second day of Poentecost and with the Super Moon, a special
moment when the Moon is at the perigee, and is very close to the Earth, a moment
when all things are charged with a special and magic energy

CHAPTER 1
Four Unified Model
The purpose of this book is to help you considerably improve your life. All that I
have written in this book will give birth to to reflection and will help you become
aware of some things, to reorganize your life, to reinterpret your life and to have the
life that you want.
In this chapter I will present four models, each representing the four facets of the
pyramid.

1.1 The First Triangle

The ABC Model of Albert Ellis
The American psychologist Albert Ellis created the ABC Model for the control of
engative emotions that surface in certain situations. He sttaes that it is not the
situation per se that makes us feel sad or angry, but it israther the way in which we
interpret a given situation. We interpret a givem situation that we are dealing with
based on our previous experience, based on our own filter that can be stuffed with
preconceived ideas, prejudices and stereotypes.
Interpretation gives birth to emotion, which may be positive or negative.
When we think about problem formation, it is neccessary to consider the
following things: A represents the activating event the event which is the cause of
the chain reaction that follows, that is B the behaviour (cognitiv / of
interpretation) and C the Consequence (the emotion).
Most often, the reaction will trigger the action, the verbal or non-verbak
behaviour. It is similat to what NLP states: if we want new resitls, it is necessary to
change our way of thinking. But before doing this,
it is necessary to understand that an action is
generated by emotions (either positive or
negative) and emotions are generated by the way
in which we think / we interpret the reality
around us.
And our thinking manual was
acquired / learnt during the first five years of our
childhood. Maybe the time has come to submit it
for a revision.

EXERCISES
1. Describe a situation that has generated negative emotions for you. Evaluate the
way in which you interpreted it and how you could and how you could modify that
interpretation. Indentify the generating element, the way in which you interpreted the
situation and your action (how did you behave).
________________________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________
____________________________________________________________________
2. After having identified the three elements (the activating event, the
interpretation and the reaction), try now to think of creative ways of interpretation
and action.

1.2 The Second Triangle

Change Management (Jim Bgnola)
In Jum Bagnolas theory regarding change management, change is made up of
three elements: S(ituation), I(nterpretation) and R(esponse). Which ones of these
three can we control?
We always have control over interpretation and response. We do not become
victims of change if we maintain this attitude. We must learn to dettach ourselves
from our past and to adjust ourselves to the state of unmet expectations (Jim
Bagnola) 1
I wonder if there is a creative way in which to answer to unmet expectations.
Taking into consideration that everything that happens is part of the beautiful
simphony of life. Everything depends on the way we look at it.
In a way, Jim Bagnolas change theory talks about the same elements that are
found in Albert Elliss model as well, but goes a little further by encouraging us to
find ceative solutions to stressful situations.

Because Change does not do us in, the transition

does! Transition is psychological. The difficulty is in the
realm of the mind. (Jim Bagnola)2

Lead the change, with Jim Bagnola, in Cluj

Jim Bagnola op. cit, p. 2

Yesterday I participated to Jim Bagnolas Lead the Change seminar

a one-day event, which he held at the Transylvania College in Cluj. The
Romanian partner for Jim Bagnolas seminar was HPDI Human
Performance Development International.
I was face-to face with a legend. I am a graduate in Psychology and I
practice alternative therapies, so I knew a lot about dealing with change.
But the hours spent there were magic.
The atmosphere created by Mr Bagnola and the organizers was really
magic. Jim Bagnola made his big entrance as Merlin, touching everyone
on their heads with his magic wand. At this time on the slide there was
written: Sit confortably as Merlin casts his spell transformin you in
QUICK CHANGE ARTISTS.
Responding creatively to a change and having positive thinking stands
at the core of our being, I think. Because change is the only constant in
the universe. And managing change can be a great ability at all times.
Untill yesterday I knew that everything happens for a reason, but
yesterday I found out that every change is for the better. Even if we
dont see this at first. Ive always believed in the law of cause and effect.
I know that something that happens today can be the cause of another
thing that will happen next week. On the other hand, the thing that would
happen next week cannot take place without this one happening first.
Destiny always leaves clues.
Mr. Bagnola talked about the anatomy and the biology of change. But
first he defined change as anything not included on our preferred list of
expectations. He mentioned that the Chinese spell two carracters for
change: one is danger and the other is opportunity.
So every obstacle that generates change is in fact an opportunity.
Getting fired, for instance, is the opportunity of finding a better job. Of
having a better future.
Change does not do us in, the transition does! Transition is
psychological. The difficulty is in the realm of our mind, said Mr. Jum
Bagnola. So before being an anatomy and a biology of change there is
a psychology of change. Here is Mr. Jim Bagnolas perspective on
change:
Adapt to change Instead of reacting to it (1), Engage in change, instead
of defending against it (2), Embrace the change istead of resisting it (3)

and Initiate change instead of Enduring it (4).

The best change we can create is by changing our attitude. If we
change our attitude, then our vision upon the world changes. I cant
create a new world, but I can create a new world in me, Mr. Bagnola
said. And most of the time that change needs to happen at the level of
the subconscious. Because it is here that lie all the records of everything
that has ever happened iin our lives and it is this that influences our life
and our behaviour most of the time. This is the place where our core
beliefs are found and by changing them we can change our lives.
So the real magic is in the mind. The mind can be our greatest friend or
our worst enemy. This is where the answer to most of our problems lies,
the answer is within us. Everything that happens to us today is the effect
of one or several causes which are most of the time psychological. We
must search ourselves and find out those causes, try to relive them in
the present moment and improve them. Because if we dont they will
stay and they might generate a stronger negative effect. This is why
understanding and awarness are important. To improve the quality of
life.
Change is made out of thtree thing: situation, interpretation and
response. What do we have control over: Interpretation and response. It
is what the American psychologist, Albert Ellis, used to say in his ABC
(Activator-Behaviour-Consequence) Model regarding the control of
negative emotions: it is not the situation that generates our negative
emotions, but the way in which we interpret it. And most of the time we
interpret it based on our previous experience. But if we are caught in
this vicious cycles of stimulus and response, where does change
occur?
The way in which we responds to a certain situation has programmed
our subconscious in such a way that we attract the same ituations and
we respond to them in the same way. Just imagine that our brain is like
a giant computer. The subconscious is like the operating system. And it
runs programs. Some of them are automantic, and some of them are
used only when necessary. For example, when a dog barks at me, the
brain runs the program that says Run. And fear appaears. But which
came first the action or the re-action?
NLP states that our action are the results or our emotions. I run away

because I am scared. But why am I scared? Because I learnt in the

society that I live in that when a dog barks he is certainly going to bite
you. BBut what would happen if I responded to this situation creatively
by hading him a piece of meat or by standing still and ignoring him?
What would happen than?
So the real magic is in our minds. The real answers are within
ourselves. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into
it, move with it and join the dance (Allan Watts). (Allan Watts)3

1.3 The Third Triangle The DBE Model,

the Third Pillar of the SILVA (by Jos Silva)
The DBE Model (Desire, Belief, Expectancy)
represents the third of the five pillars of the SILVA
Method, theorized by Jos Silva.
The five pillars of the SILVA Method are:
- Positive Thinking
- Creative Vizualization
- Desire-Belief-Expectancy
- the SILVA way of life.
The same thing is mentioned in the Law of
Attraction: things become thoughts, you are what
you think.
Quantum physics has also tried to demonstrate this. That like attracts like. And
out of the billions of particles that exist in this world, you will attract the one that
resembles you in the most perfect way. The DBE Model states that: you must have a
strong desire for a thing to happen, believe deep in your heart that that thing will
happen and wait for that thing to happen. Think only positive. Do not intercalate
any negative thoughts because then you are blocking the manifestation. Do not
forget: what you think about, you attract. And if you think in a negative manner, you
attract such situations and events into your life.
An excellent modality to start changing your life is to eliminate negations from
your day-to-day vocabulary. After you exercise that for a few days, it will become a
routine. Our subconscious does not understand the word No.
EXERCISES
Rephrase the following sentences, by rendering the same idea in the affirmative.
1. Only for today, I will not get angry.

2. I am affraid that I wont have enugh money.

3. Only for today I will not worry.

4. I am upset because I quarreled with my colleagues.

5. I feel that nobody understands me.

1.4 The Fourth Triangle the ABC Model from the Theory of Conflict
(Johan Galtung)
In this subchapter I am going to present the ABC Model from Johan Galtungs
Theory of Conflict: A means attitude, B behaviour and C contradiction. The
contradiction is in fact the real cause of the conflict. It correspond to the
situation,
which
has
already been
presented as part of the
first
two
models. The only things
that we can
control are attitudes and
behaviour.
Another aspect that
Galtung
mentions
is
the
profoundness, the depth:
deep
contradictions,
deep
attitudes and
profound behaviours.
Here are a few examples
for the three
categories:
Attitudes
are
the
motivational
aspect, the emotions and the cognitive factor of the actors involved into the conflict.
Behaviour represents the objective aspect and refers to the way in which the actors
are acting during the conflict: whether they have common interests or they are
trying to cause harm to one another. .4.
Note:
Each of these four triangles compose one of the pyramids facets.
EXERCISES
Taking into considerations the above model, remember the last conflict you had
(with your family, your friends or at your workplace). Analyze the situation looking
through the ABC Model from Johan Galtungs Theory of Conflict, presented above.

CHAPTER 1a
Other sets of three constructs
with a dynamic character
1a.1 The Three Elements of Communication
(Allan Pease)
Besides needing E(mitter), R(eceiver), C(ode), C(hannel), M(essage),
communcation has also other three components in its structure: the verb (the word,
tat wat can be written on a piece of paper), the siund (that which can be herad) and
the gestures (that which can be seen) so verbal and non-verbal communication.
The biggest specialist in communication around the world is Allan Pease, whom I
had the opportunity of meeting in Cluj-Napoca, at the end of March, when he held
the How to be a people magnet conference.
ARTICLE
Allan Pease is a people magnet in Cluj

Yesterday there took place in Cluj-Napoca in the spectacular ambience

of Grand Hotel Italia the conference of Mr Allan Pease How to be a
people magnet. This conference was organized by Transilvania
Business Seminars, among whose partners there were: AzimutTeambuilding, Jolidon (Emblem of Cluj), Curtea Veche Publishing
(which is the exclusive publisher of Allan Peases Books in Romanian),
One IT and others. .
The event took [lace in the Vivaldi Conference Room , the largest
conference room at the hotel. There were over 800 participants who
came to meet the famous Allan Pease. The conference was in English,
but Romanian translation was also available.
In Mr Peases opinion, communication is made up of three elements:
what you say (the words), how you say (the tone of voice, intonation)
and what you do (your gestures). Nonverbal language represents 7080% of a conversation. You can influence behavior and sales by what
you say by using the adequate nonverbal language the the other

person;s subconscious will decode as positive.

So that the other person to respond positively to you, so that you can be
a money magnet, it is recommended to be friendly, unthreatening and
unintimidating, to have a warm attitude, to smile and to avoid any
negative signal.
Women and men are thinking differently. Among the five ways in which
a woman punishes a man in a love relationship, Allan Pease mentions
trhat she makes him sleep on the sofa. But in the mans eyes, this
means that he is alnoie with the remote control and the refrigerator. He
wrote two books about nonverbal language in love relationships Why
men want sex and women want love and Why men dont listen and
women cant read maps. And the third one on love relationships in
Romanian was launched yesterday at Grand Hotel Italia, published by
Curtea Veche Publishing. On page 54 in this book we find out what is
the first gesture that we must do when we meet a person: to smile.
Next Allan Pease talked about the most commonly used signs in body
language and what do they signify in various cultures. He discussed: the
signs for OK (with the thumb, which has 17 meaning), the sign for No 2,
the sigh for No 5, nodding Yes and No.
Body language symbolizes our emotional state. If we make a certain
gesture, the other person will react to what he or she thinks he or she
saw and this is made unconsciously.
At a job interview, the body language is very important. This makes you
seem bold, to seem that you are the best for the job. Personal
prersence matters more than your experience.
Nonverbal communication skills are also important in sales. If I like you
and you make me feel significant and important , Ill buy your product or
service.
Smiling is very important. When a dog smiles at you it means that he will
bite you. But if a person smiles at you then he has a friendly attitude.
Another important gesture is handshake.and personaL space5.

The Psychological Elements of Communication
What is communication?
It is the dialogue between two or more people.
What are the elements of communication?
E(mitter), R(recipient), C(ode), C(hanal), M(esage). In order for a message to be
receive correctly, it is necessary that the E(miter) and the R(recipient) have the
same code for decoding and recoding the message.
What types of languages are being used in communication?

Just two: verbal and non-verbal.

How much do each of these two languages weigh in the process of communication?
Verbal 20% and Non-verbal 80%.
What is the verbal language made of?
Verbal language is made up of words, of what can be written on a piece of paper.
How about the nonverbal language??
Nonverbal language is made up of: gestures, look, intonation, posture,
appearance.
The communication process which is based only on the verbal language is
incomplete. For instance, the best way to lie is in writing of via text messaging.
A complete communication comprises both types of communication: verbal as
wella s non-verbal. Which makes me think about the telecommunications industry.
When you speak to someone on the phone, I wonder if its important to also see that
person? To what extent?
Maybe if you could also see that person, you could find your answers in a much
better way.
Videotelephony is highly seeked for around the world. Becausee it is a step
forward in technology and in communication as well.
Now this technology is also available in Romania, at costs which are accessible to
anyone.
Videotelephony is an experience of its own. I am just fascinated by it. I simply
cannot put into words how it feels to to actually see the person who is at the other
end of the line; it feelss like they would be only a few cwntimeters away.
For me, videotelephony has opened new roads, has created new relationships,
has represented a leap forward in my personal and professional development.
It has been and it continues to be a real adventure!
In the near future I intend to hold courses and face-to-face coaching sessions via
videotelephone.
