MEMO

TO:
PROFFESOR JOSE LUIS GOMEZ
FROM:
JOEL SILVA, RAYMOND BANUELOS, CRISTINA MARTINEZ
SUBJECT: USABILITY TEST ON PRESENTATION
DATE:

The purpose of this memo is to recommend changes on your Prezi that was
presented on January 22, 2015; Understanding the Role of Oral Presentation.
In general the presentation was explained professionally, all though there are a
few technical corrections that can be made that we would like to discuss with you.
Understanding oral presentations are important and so is the projection of the
presentation itself by your audience. It is imperative that they get a consistent visual
experience of your prepared Prezi Presentation such as... e.g. using proper capitalization
throughout all slides, formatting all titles properly including your title and credentials, the
use of proper color background that will not strain the audiences eye view of the
presentation. Formatting the presentation in a more friendly view and experience will
deliver an outstanding oral presentation.
An important factor that was excluded from the Prezi presentation
"Understanding the Role of Oral presentation is the time or length of the presentation.
According to the book Technical Communication by Markel it is important to be aware
of the time the speaker has. After knowing such factor the speaker can plan and distribute
the time accordingly, to include time for questions from the audience. Remarkably if the
presentation goes beyond the determined time the audience loses focus and may even feel
as if their time is going to waste.
Aside from the actual presentation itself, the presenter and the body language that
is demonstrated is very important. The Prezi presentation could have elaborated more in
terms of explaining things on expressed emotions, posture, and movement. Forbes
website explains everything from Voice volume to filling the room with energy in order
to have a more effective presentation. The energy or mood that is set will be completely
up to the presenter. Body language is very important and should be incorporated more in
the Prezi presentation.

Professor Gomez accept these recommendations we are suggesting with courtesy.

Our intentions are only to support your teaching skills, and better understanding of the
material of your Prezi presentation for future students.
