Big Ideas:

1) Students will learn the law of exponents


2) Students will learn how to solve exponential function and describe its graph.
3) Students will learn about properties of logarithm and the connection between exponential and
logarithm function.
Unit Goals and Objectives:

Students will identify the law of exponents and solve exponential problems through guided notes , spot the mistake
assessment, and online quiz

Unit Summary:

In this unit, students will learn the law of exponents and learn how to solve exponential equations. Next, students will
learn how to draw exponential function on a coordinate plane. Then, students will learn how to describe the graph
according to the problem given during class. Moreover, students will learn properties of logarithm that includes
the logarithm rules and its graph. Lastly, students will learn about the connection between exponential and logarithm
function.
This is an Algebra II unit for 9th until 11th graders.

quiz. Students will be given 15 minutes to
complete and will receive a grade.
