Ithaca College Teacher Education Professional Standard Met by
Artifact:
Standard 2-Planning and Instruction/Implementation.
In my field experience I demonstrated the ability to develop and
implement lesson plans directly related to curriculum that address the
skill development of different learners. These skills include:
1. Increasing comprehension by listening, following along, and
understanding literature through investigation of particular vocabulary
words. This also includes deepening comprehension by making
connections to the students lives.
2. Increasing speech production by contributing to conversations
with a yes or no, single word answers, and/or extended dialog. This
also includes developing fluency.
3. Written sentence production in the form of vocabulary word
definitions.
